“not bad for it's price”

i bought it for $500, decent price for a cooktop, i also bought 2 warranty just incase. it is easy to clean.  The only slight problem is the knob, i bought it 2 years ago, and i notice sometime i have it at medium, but the heat go up so high, and when i turn it on, seem like the wire underneat of it...

“elements fail after 1-2 years”

Our builder installed this cooktop in 2005.   Spring 2006, the power element failed.  It was under warranty, so Sears sent a repair man to replace it, which he did.  He told me I needed to clean my cooktop, took a razor blade to it, and put multiple scratches on it.  Sears was great about replacing...

“WHERE'S THE STEEL?”

This product is described as "stainless steel with black." Since I wanted it to coordinate with my other appliances, especially the new stainless steel hood that I purchased at the same time, this seemed like the one to go with. I assumed that the trim would go all the way around the unit (zooming in on the photo was no help since no trim is visible). I'm pretty sure the sales associate told me that there was a thin strip all the way around. How disappointed I was to see that there is merely a one inch strip of chrome at the front of the cooktop only. I don't know if this was really worth an... read full review »

I replaced a cooktop that was over 30 yrs old. I can't believe the improvement. This product is everything it was advertised to be. Very easy to regulate temps with intuitive controls. Outstanding performance.

“30" cooktop”

We based the ratings against the price. This unit has enough practical features for the price. It comes ready to install and if you are replacing an old cooktop the installation is very easy. We are definitely happy with our choice of this

“Great Home Service From Sears”

Product looks very sleek and clean. Only complaint was the hot surface indicator did not turn off for one side. Called the sears home service and they replaced the sensor. Great product and excellent service from Sears. Would recommend to anyone.

“Great Cooktop”

I really am pleased with my new cooktop. I have a black and white kitchen, and it looks so good in it. I use it 3 or more times a day. It has stood up to anything I have cooked.

“Kenmore Elite Electic cooktop”

We have been very happy with this cooktop and use it a lot.  Easy to control cooking temerature.  Has safety lock for added assurance.

“I will never buy another Kenmore”

We had nothing but problems with this cooktop. The elements and buttons are all part of the same unit, so when one thing breaks, everything breaks. Our Kenmore cooktop broke and had to be replaced 4 times over the course of its 5 year lifespan. So now it's five years later, our warrenty has run out, and we're stuck with a completely nonfunctioning cooktop, which will have to be completely replaced, whereas our first gas range cooktop is still working after 15 years in the house we left behind. Needless to say, this will be our last Kenmore.

“love it!”

I love the sleek appearance of this cooktop against my granite countertop. It performs well and is fairly easy to clean. I love the dual element and the flexibility it provides. Care is easy.

“Radiant CookTops are Superior”

We love cooking and have gone through 3 CookTops in the last 10 Years! This Kenmore model has outstanding Heat Distribution!My pots and pans are no longer moving around jarring primitive elemets loose! I would highly recommend this product for the reliable name,sleek appearance and what an excellent bargain.
