Some reservations, overall good

This range came brand new with my home, in stainless, and it looks great. I get lots of compliments on my appliances (I have a matching fridge and dishwasher). I have used this appliance almost daily for a year now. The oven works very well - I have a cheap oven thermometer to check accuracy, and the... read full review »

Bad locations of burners

I have had my stove for a few weeks and do not like the cook-top. It is not convenient to have to big burners in the front of the cooktop. My daughter has a glass top also, (different make) it has one large and one small burner in front. I had two tall pots cooking one day and needed to use a small fry... read full review »

I purchased this range, thrilled that the oven was convection too and how easy it was to clean the flat glass top. After a while however my undamaged wire racks started falling when I baked. I found out that I was NOT the only owner with this problem. It seems that the oven liner bows out after use and the perching racks fall and ruin whatever it is you are trying to bake. I DON'T recomend this range until Sears fixes this HORRIBLE problem. I'm trying to figure out how to cook a turkey in this nightmare of an oven. Sears needs to RECALL these oven liners and change them for free!!

Well, it happened to me. We bought our house and the previous owner installed the Ceramic top Kennmore. We love it, can't complain about anything except the plastic front where the timer/digital controls are housed. 18 months with our new oven and no problems with cleaning (a must after every meal to keep it shiny and new) oven is great, bottom draw is flimsy but allowable. However, the plastic front cracked on us recently and even though it is still operational, it is an eyesore. Hopefully I can get it replaced but i am not having much luck so far with finding the part. Overall, a great oven and... read full review »

Still Undecided After 6 months

We bought this stove almost 6 months ago and have already had a problem with the 2-part burner (needed to be replaced). We still notice uneven cooking on both large burners - the middle gets much hotter than the edges and burns the food in the middle of the pan. However, I'll try the cookware specifically made for ceramic tops, which may solve this problem. But a bigger problem is the discoloration that seems to be coming from underneath the two big burners in front, which gets worse the more the burners are used. The top isn't scratched and we haven't abused it, so now we're going to have to call... read full review »

Love This Range

Helped my senior-citizen parents research this range purchase, including in a major consumer publication. We are all completely happy with this choice. Sears installation and haul-away was first class: speedy, incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and painless. Controls are easy enough for seniors to figure out, but sophisticated enough to do what we need for our more-gourmet cooking. Range and oven meet our sophisticated cooking needs and parents' simple needs. Range and oven both heat up quickly and do a great job. The white ceramic cooktop cleans incredibly-easily with the provided cream... read full review »

Beautiful and would buy again.

I am very pleased with it as it nestles into my new countertop quite well. The bottom drawer is very flimsy...but not noticeable except when you remove it with items in it to clean under it. The burners have versatility in size. It is at times difficult to clean as mentioned when I read the previous reviews before buying it but the elbow work with the new ceramic cleaners is worth the beauty of the look. The front ledge being plastic might cause trouble when cooking with a griddle that could rub up against the overhang and melt it. The front panel is slanted downward which the photo didn't make... read full review »

Great buy!

I got mine after much research and love it. The only complain I have is that the surface gets stained easily but overall is great. I keep up with the cream for the ceramic top and it works beautifully. The cream is so good, I use it on my ceramic tile floor as well. I love the oven, I use it almost every day. The huge window allows me to see inside while roasting or baking, no need to open the door. Oh, I also love the cook-time feature it has. I don't have to worry about burning anything in the oven. It turns off automatically once you set the cooking time. The stove top heats evenly and quickly.... read full review »

cook top cleaning

This stove, and all glass and ceramic top stoves will clean up easy with professional strength easy-off. Never use razor blades or scrapers on them or you will scratch the surface and ruin the topnv..

its a freaking nightmare

we got this oven for my mom for christmas since her old one died. Now it started working out great, we all loved it. then the panel started messing up. itstarts doing stuff, and beeping, at times in the middle of the night. the timer's go off, the oven starts baking. the oven door locks and refused to open. we called and got it fixed the first time, same thing happened worked great for the first 30 odd days. then the same problem started up. now apparently the parts back ordered, and we can't even use our oven cause it's locked on us and won't unlock.. it's a waste of money, we've had more problems... read full review »

Am getting another one

i bought this range last summer and hate it - it does not heat espacially quickly but more importantly, cleaning it is a nightmare. I got white (went with the rest of my kitchen) and, despite what the sales man said, everything doesn't wipe off without intensive scrubbing. i am going to sell it and buy a traditional coil model.

Disappointed

While I purchased this stove based on excellent performance, I would expect that I would be able to clean it and keep it looking as nice as when I purchased it (at least for a little while anyway). However, each time we use the stove we have a new stain on the ceramic cooktop. We followed prep and cleaning directions exactly and are extremely frustrated that we have stains already. If this is how it looks after just 4 uses, how will it look after one year? The stove performs wonderfully, but I am very disappointed that I am unable to prevent stains and scratches under careful cooking conditions.... read full review »

Keeps on Burning

This product came new with our new home. Less than two weeks old. When we closed we were told that there was a problem with the back burner and a call was placed. One week ago the problem got fixed, so we thought. Now the day before Thanksgiving, we have the same rear burner that will not turn off. Sears said it will be next week before they can fix it. I told them that they could send a truck to pick it up. I am going back to my KitchenAid brand.

Cooking is a breeze

As newlyweds, we are very happy with this appliance. We are both picky and did a lot of research when looking for a new stove and found that this one really suited our needs. We enjoy the look of it, though it is hard to get the stains off the top....lots of man power is needed. Overall, great stove!!
