Fast cooking and great features!!

With this range you can get all the heat you want, from a small 5000 BTU burner all the way up to the big 18,000 BTU monster in the center. That one brings a huge oval pot of cold water to a boil in a hurry, or you can use sections of the big burner as smaller burners! And the griddle that fits over... read full review »

What a disappointment!

Ordered this from Sears first one came and was dented Sears took it back no problem. Sent the next one, we moved into our house and used the convect convert for the first time last night. Outstanding Range

I purchased this range to replace an older model (different brand) that never seemed to work right. We have owned this range now for several months and it has performed flawlessly. This was our first Thanksgiving where my wife did NOT run out of burners. The oven is fantastic and the warming drawer is a great feature to keep food "ready to serve" while the remaining dishes are being cooked. We love this range and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new unit. We have not tried the convection feature yet. Christmas cookies will be made soon and I expect great results. You should not... read full review »

Excellent Range!

I love my new range. I especially love the middle burner. I always felt as though the middle space was wasted space, but no more! The griddle is awesome. We have used it for eggs, pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, and french toast. Love it! The reason for only 4 stars: The only thing that bothers me is the fact that it did not come with the broiler pan and roasting rack that is vital to convection cooking. There is an order form inside for a "free" set. However, one must pay $9.95 for shipping and handling and wait 6 to 8 weeks. Ummmm, really? Couldn't it just have come with the range since... read full review »

Great range for the money

My wife and I bought this stove about a month ago after comparing many different brands and reading many reviews. We are very happy with our decision to purchase this one. The oven bakes well (nice, evenly-browned cookies anywhere in the oven without turning the cookie sheets when using convection bake), we love the cast iron grates and the 100% usable cooktop space, and the top is very easy to keep clean too. The center oval burner is a very nice design allowing you to use the whole burner or just the back or front - really like a six-burner stovetop but in the space of a standard four-burner.... read full review »

Satisfied

Using it now for more then 2 months. I enjoy cooking, and we cook for a family of 7. All the basics are there, but several main items combined to make this my choice. This unit has the largest oblong burner that i've seen, plus you have two control settings for the burner, and I use that capability quite a bit, as i like cooking on large griddles. The grates are heavy duty and will easily accept the cast iron cookware i prefer. With 5 kids, there are spills, and this unit cleans up easily; along with that, the raised lip around the burner units, keeps the spills up on top rather then letting it... read full review »

As close to professional as you can get!

Where to start - I purchase from Sears primarily because they take care of their employees who are called up for military duty. Options/prices was the secondary reason for final purchase decision. Thank you to the other people who took the time to post your comments - your comments about this range were a large part of my consideration on final three choices. I spent hours researching and reading reviews. What I love about the range - warming drawer gets up to about 150 degrees, perfect for warming plates or keeping a pie warm, ready for ice cream on top! Also, I LOVE the cast iron instead of... read full review »

Who Knew One Could LOVE a Range?

Baking...that's my "thing"...I bake to relieve stress, I bake so I can avoid cleaning the house, I bake because I enjoy creating from scratch and I bake because I just like baking. I bake about 1200 cookies during the holidays....not to mention breads and cakes and the like. I'm not as much of cook as I am a baker, therefore, a good oven is the key to success, more or less :) Although my "other" Sears range was still functional, I found that I had basically stopped baking and was only baking when it was necessary. I came to realize my baking had waned because I hated hated hated the "other" range....it... read full review »

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't even begin to tell you hoch much I LOVE, LOVE LOVE my oven!!!! I bought it 8 months ago, and EVERY time I use it, I still tell anyone in earshot how much I LOVE my oven!!! The convection is AMAZING!!!!! I haven't had ANY burnt baked goods - and I haven't had to waste my time constantly checking on them either! I can vegetables, and all I can say about the five burners, continuous grate top is LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Buy This Product!

Originally, I did not want to purchase this product. I had my heart set on a double oven range, but when you're re-doing an entire kitchen, you don't always end up with everything you want. I thought when I picked this range that I was settling. Boy was I wrong! This is an amazing range. If you can't find the right cooking temperature, it's not because it's not offered with the varied burners on this range. The consistent temperatures offered in the oven are great! Now, instead of settling, I feel spoiled to have it in my kitchen. Purchase this one with confidence. My guess is you'll love it too.... read full review »

My Opinion

Hello. For the price of this range, I am VERY disappointed. We spent over $1,000.00 on this range and when we brought it home, it had scratches on it and the front legs were bent and the warming drawer doesn't even close! We called Sears and a manager was to call us back first thing in the morning. It took us over 5 different people and multiple conversations to try to address the problems we had with the range. They are delivering us a new range, so we will see how this one looks! As for the oven performance: I bake VERY often and was "sold" with the convection part of the range, however it did... read full review »

Would buy it again

This is my first convection oven, so maybe that is why I have been so impressed with how well it works. Cookies-perfect Chicken-moist, but nicely browned. Spiral ham-moist,tender. Warming drawer great for large holiday meals, & "do-ahead" dishes. Stove top easy to clean, Large burner great for heating large pasta-pot of water. Controls with timers easy to master.

Great Stove & Range

We looked at the Frigidaire version of this Stove (they make the Kenmore version) and after seeing that the grates on Frigidaire were grey we switched to the Kenmore which had cast iron black. Ideally it would be great if these had a black enamel coating, but after using it for a few days I'm happy with it (no worries about chipping/scratching any coating). The control buttons for the oven can be figured out. Programming the timer and the oven temperature isn't hard, but it does take a couple of tries if you aren't going to read the manual. Getting the timer to stop beeping requires hitting the... read full review »

Great Range for the money

We bought this range at Christmas time and received a great price, including free shipping. We had gone to the store to look at this item but they did not have it as a display. The salesperson showed me the features that the stove would have by showing me the Elite Kenmore Line. I could not be happier with the features, quality, and durability of the stove.

back knob

I just love my new Kenmore oven. It is great! I was just wondering if anyone else out there notices how hot the knob on the back of the stove gets when you use the back burner.

A professional range - a family price!

We selected this range after a thorough on-line search of manufacturers and retailers websites, our consumer magazine, and local retailers. We went into our local Sears store and bought it through the salesman in the store -- your review doesn't ask us to rate the sales staff -- but they were great (as always). We couldn't be happier. It cuts meal preparation time in half (over our previous range/oven). The burners adjust so easily, and maintain a true "simmer" so that you don't scorch or burn anything. It used to take over 20 minutes to heat up a pot of water for pasta -- but the power burner... read full review »
