This cooktop is good for the price. I do wish I would have went a little larger. When installing please take note that the back left burners flame get MUCH bigger/hotter than the rest. You may want to install a little further away from back wall. However, other than size, I would suggest this product.
We bought this cooktop as a replacement unit. The power burner provides good BTUs for a large pot, and the simmer burner does get to low-enough output for delicate work like melting chocolate. The counter cutout for our previous 30" cooktop was almost too large for this one, so it took a little extra care at installation. We went from stainless to black and discovered that black shows dust and dirt more on a horizontal cooktop than on a vertical surface like an oven door. But we're very happy overall.
This was excellent product at very reasonable price. Kenmore products have served our home well and this one was no exception. It is very easy to use, no working problems, and looks good too. I would recommend this product to any who are contemplating a gas cook-top stove.

We had an electric cooktop for 30 years and decided to replace it with gas. The conversion was easy, even converting the 208 VAC 2 phase outlet to 1 phase 110 VAC was easy. This Black Kenmore 30 in. Sealed Gas Cooktop is just the thing for my wife and I, and cooking is so much more fun than electric, because the heat is right now, no wating for the elements to heat.
I recomend this unit for everyone that needs a 30" gas cooktop.
I recently did a kitchen remodel on an early 80's home with the orginal cooktop. This product is great! I have been very happy with this cooktop and it REALLY cooks well! Great product for the money!!
I finally replaced my old cooktop that I had for 20 years with this one. several months ago. It has the power burner. And they MEAN POWER! I have to be careful to turn it down lower than my old cooktop, I have had to re-learn to be careful not to burn things! But it is great to be able to get pots of water boiling in less time. I didn't think I'd use the simmer burner, but it has come in very handy in heating delicate things.
