Kenmore 350 Series Water Softener —
Very satisfied with this product, works great and uses very little salt at a 35 grains per gallon hardness setting. New installation and installed myself. Had three leaks on threaded fasteners, PVC, when using teflon tape. Switched to pipe dope and no leaks. My theory is the Chinese fittings now supplied at hardware store. I had my doubts about the "O" ring seals on the bypass valve, but they did not leak at all. I also had the problem of the unit regenerating during the day instead of the default 2:00 am, but just check the manual under Faceplate Timer Features and disable IntelliSoft Feature, which will automatically start regeneration when unit has used 97% capacity. The default is ON. The unit is somewhat noisy when regenerating with the valves and servos, but no problem at 2:00 am. The soft water is great!Kenmore 350 Series Water Softener
