“Perfect”

Kenmore 350 Series Water Softener — 

I have always heard negative things about big-box store water softeners, but I think the quality has come a long way in the last decade. We have had this water softener for about 4 years, and we have not had a single problem yet. It consumes very little salt and does a great job. All faucets are clean, shower doors always look clear, and soap suds up great. We no longer have to worry about our water heater getting fouled up with scaly junk thanks to this softener. It regenerates on schedule with its timer and seems reliable. The digital controls are convenient. The unit may be expensive, but it's just one of those things you have to man up and spend money on.
