Immediate improvement

Great softener.  We moved into a new home and the previous owners weren't using a softener.  I could hardly wash my hair the water was so hard.  We had this installed and I saw an improvement in the water immediately.

In our old home we had a leased softener machine and this Kenmore machine is so...

I kinda wanted this thing to work...

Ordered online, waited over a week before we were notified that our unit had arrived at the store, which is longer than what was promise. Not a big deal, though. We hired our regular plumbing man to install the unit and he did a fine job. We were so happy to finally be shed of our WaterBoss 500, which... read full review »

I just replaced a 10 year old kenmore genius II water softener with the 2009 version (the 370 series).  The valve was the same one from before.  All I had to do was unpack it, attach a couple hoses and connect the valve.  It took me all of an hour to get it up and running (not counting the sanitation phase).  It has been working great and I enjoy my tap water again.

love it

I have had this softener for a while now. I have never had  a problem with it. When I bought it the sales guy was helpful he even tested our water from home so we could get the best product for us overall I give the whole process two thumbs up.

Kenmore 370 Series Water Softener

We are very happy with our new 370 Series water softener. We installed a very similar Sears softener 12 years ago and it worked without incident until a few months ago when the water just wasn't quite right and the shower started to become a chore again to keep clean. I look back now and realize how well the old unit performed. With no qualms at all we purchased a new Sears water softener. I installed it myself. The instructions were clear. It took me several hours to install (4) and the unit was a bit heavier than I remembered one to be but it went well. WOW!!! The water is soft again and the... read full review »

Kenmore 370 water softener

I purchased this product in March 08, installed it myself with no problems at all - took about 4 hrs but I needed to install a bypass with the 3-valve setup - I just like to solder stuff so it was fun too. If your hired license plumber is having difficulties installing this unit, then find a new plumber. We have extremely hard water, 30+ grains of hardness, and this machine makes our water very soft. It works great, only thing that is not operational is the gallons per hour and avg gallons per day counters are still set to ZERO on our unit. Even when I open up 2-3 faucets in the house, the flowage... read full review »

Kenmore 370 water softener

We had an older system, which has seized to exist. Since our prior very positive experiences with SEARS (knowledgeable staff and excellent service) we headed out to the nearest location and decided to purchase 370 model, which was recommended by the salesman. We decided also to get an extended warranty just a bit over 100 dollars for additional three years (total of four years of coverage). I usually opt against extended warranties, but this time it seemed like a reasonable option considering how hard is water in San Antonio. Flex connectors are a must just make sure that all four rubber gaskets... read full review »

Works Great

I replaced our old Culligan with the 370 softener a little over a year ago. Very happy with the unit. The regeneration-when-needed feature is great. Salt usage is way less than before. Installation was slightly painful, but that's a reflection on my plumbing skills. The instructions were very good.

works great so far

makes water really soft, easy to set up ,and is very user friendly runs very quiet iron removal says 11.0 but this model is only a 10.0 a little misleading but still works great

So Far So Good

I've had my Sears Water softener 4 months and no complaints. Does a great job with extremely hard water that I had. Doesn't seem to use too much salt thus far. As for durability only time will tell. However, compared to the price of other competetor's softeners you could almost replace it after 7 to 8 years and still be ahead. So far so good

Stuck on Kenmore

I am a big fan of Kenmore products. Either I've had good luck, time after time, or they simply make a quality product. I have to admit I had sticker shock as it seems the price of softeners has increased dramatically over the last few years....but then, I guess what hasn't? I've had this softener a few months now and she works good. I expect many more years of flawless performance.

Kenmore water softener 370

Excellent unit...What a difference...I had very hard water and now it's very soft. Very user freindly...Very easy to install. I also recomend the 18 or 24" flex hoses...They make it even easier....This unit is very easy on salt also. And very quiet. I also recomend a whole house water filter....Before the softener. WAY TO GO KENMORE!!!

I purchased this model on Nov 3rd with installation included. Today is Nov 21st and I'm still unable to get Sers to install it. I called my local licensed plumber. They came and had very difficult time installing this model because of plastic connections. These connections kept leaking every time they tested water softener. Still no luck. Plumber will come back tomorrow to continue install. So far I'm very dissapointed with Sears installation department and quality of this product. Would definitely NOT recommend it to anyone.

Very Pleased

Replaced a softener that cost over $1,000 about ten years ago, whose beads had broken down. The Kenmore softens the water just as well (I have VERY hard water at my home) and uses significantly less salt.
