If you are looking for a great 4 burner gas grill, and don't want to spend a *lot* of money, this is the grill for you. Even heating across all four burners with an electronic ingniter, no more matches!. The grills are heavy duty without being too "heavy" and the porcelain coating makes it very easy to clean. Then to top it all off, there's a built in bottle opener and a side burner for cooking any side dishes to serve with the meat.
Of course the "proof is in the pudding" and with a grill the proof is in the flavor. I've always been a big fan of charcoal grilling for that reason. Not sure why,...
read full review »I just purchased a Kenmore 4 Burner Gas Grill with side burner for the the third time in the last 10 years (last one l had it for 4 years and I gave it to my son). At this price is an outsatanding deal not to pass. It included free assembly. I used it at least twice a week and never had any problem, as long as you take good care. I recommend this purchase if you love to grill a lot. Mine is the stainless steel but it comes in two other colors.I hope you enjoy it.
I did a lot of research when looking for a new grill. Our price range was between $200-300 for a medium size grill, and I wanted the best "bang-for-my-buck." I read the Consumer Reports review on grills and saw that this Kenmore grill was a "best buy." Most of the reviews were positive. Since our previous grill was a Kenmore, we thought we'd give it a try. After a week of using it, my husband HATES it! It constantly flares up and consequently burns the food. The metal coverings over the flames are very flat, so any fat or grease that drips or is burned on, flames right up! Our burgers...
read full review »We bought this on sale and thought it would be a good quality grill. As luck would have it we finally got a bad product from Sears. Not bad considering 40+ years for me boing a loyal customer. Giving away a Weber...I should have bought another one...it was 12 years old and still worked great. This grill is a very poor design plus it is cheaply made. I don't know who is building this for Sears...but don't buy it. I followed the directions. The part where it says "close the doors" while putting the top half on is no joke. I taped them shut with duck tape, and finished the assembly. When I removed...
read full review »I love my new grill. It is a great grill for the money. Assembly was a bit frustrating at times but it was worth it. It has more bells and whistles than my old grill. The timer is a nice feature and the bottle opener is an added bonus. We'll have to see how the grill handles our Wisconsin winters.
Purchased this grill a few months ago for my parents to replace their failing one. Very sharp looking and good design quality. Actually assembled easier than my cheaper costing Kenmore. One thing that I do recommend is that you wash the stainless steel with soap and water to remove the protective shipping coating. Leaving it on can cause the stainless to yellow faster than with washing it off.
All in all the grill is working well. My only major problem is that i have called support 4 times and still do not have the correct part needed to install my side burner correctly. I may have to take the entire unit back if they cannot figure this out.
Grill looks good. Not the heft of a Weber, and it costs half as much. I really like that it has a starter on each tube, not just one - I can choose which burner tube or tubes I want to use at start-up. Sales person was exceptional. He stayed after work to get the pick-up processed. Timer is a nice touch - after a 20 below winter night I'll see how durable it is. A bottle opener? Really?
The third time I used the grill the electronic ignition and one of the gas valves caught on fire. It is not usable anymore.
After not even a week the first signs of rust are showing.
It takes about an hour to assemble the grill and you need a second pair of hands to do the job.
The assembly instruction are heavy on words and the graphics are very small and misleading.
Just for the first reason alone I can not recommend buying this grill.
We've had this grill for about a week, but love it so far and have used it several times. The cast iron cooking grates are wonderful, and you can flip them over for searing or grilling (each side has a different thickness). The four burners makes adjusting the temperature pretty easy to do, and I like that it has a cabinet to cover the propane tank. Sears offered free assembly on this so I don't have any experience with trying to assemble the grill. Like others have stated, the metal isn't extremely thick, but it isn't a $1000 grill either. Also, I love the bottle opener and the timer!...

I purchased this grill February of 2009. I must say this is without a doubt the worst product I have ever purchased. This product is $299 from Sears. Immediately upon purchase you will notice the cheap construction with thin metal throughout. The best thing about this grill is the cast iron grate and that is all. The rest of the grill is thin cheap metal. The grill is absolutely terrible and I mean terrible about flaming up. Have the water hose close by to put the huge bonfire out that will be raging under the hood in a matter of minutes. If you like things burnt to a crisp this is your...
