UNIT WAS EXTREMELY EASY TO INSTALL, ONLY NEEDED HELP TO REMOVE AND REPLACE OLD UNIT IN THE CLOSET. UNIT FIRED UP INSTANTLY, AND HEATED WATER UP VERY RAPIDLY. NO PROBLEMS WITH UNIT AT ALL

When I pruchased this water heater a year ago, it worked as soon as it was installed and seemed to be reliable. Then, this year, it started to fail and the unit has not been reliable since. The repairman has been out 6 times with no luck in getting the water heater to stay lighted, no matter what has been done. We are very skeptical as to the quality of this Kenmore gas water heater. The last water heater lasted 10 years before going out. Clifftorn
