“93RD DAY FAILURE”

This unit failed on Day 93. It is Sunday and a technician cannot arrive until late tomorrow. This "self powered" electronic control apparently isn't fully realized technology. “It works good for a couple years, and then...”

These water heaters were redesigned a few years back. They feature more safety... but these changes in design cause more service calls and cold water. The closed/restricted air intake to the combustion chamber will begin to snuff out your pilot. It'll happen a couple times a month... before you know it, it'll be 3 times a day.

When your unit gets a few years old, and you start having this problem email me.

“Good water heater”

Installed this unit all most 2 years ago and have had no problems. This water heater replaced a Home Depot/GE junk water heater. The control keeps very accurate water temperature and I have not run out of hot water since. I like the control's ability to report diagnostic codes to help with possible troubleshooting. The only maintenance I have done is clean the air intake screen at the bottom as suggested in the owner's manual.

“HOT WATER HEATER”

UNIT WAS EXTREMELY EASY TO INSTALL, ONLY NEEDED HELP TO REMOVE AND REPLACE OLD UNIT IN THE CLOSET. UNIT FIRED UP INSTANTLY, AND HEATED WATER UP VERY RAPIDLY. NO PROBLEMS WITH UNIT AT ALL

“Bought This On December of 2007 - Works Great!”

Bought this on December of 2007 - works great so far...fast recovery rate, 2 inch insulation, saves on natural gas, replaced a Kenmore Miser 8 40gal model...12 years on the new one compared to only 8 years on the old one.
