Fantastic Freezer

This freezer is top of the line and it has exceeded all of our expectations. We live in a townhome and it's just the right size for compact spaces. Eventhough it is small, it is able to hold huge amounts of food. The set-up was super easy and it was ready to be loaded very quickly. It runs very quietly and we love the small storage basket for smaller items. Overall, we are thrilled that we found this freezer- and at such a great price. I would recommend this Kenmore product to anyone.

Good choice for a small house

While this little chest freezer won't hold a whole cow, it is an excellent option for someone who wants to free up space in the "regular" freezer and lay in a year's supply of blueberries, home-grown corn, banana bread, or farmers-market goodies. a) It's relatively inexpensive to buy and run b) The box fits in a minivan (not in a smaller car...) in case you don't want to pay a delivery fee, and two (not very athletic) people can carry it up or down stairs. Unpacking and setting it up took about 30 min. c) You can plug it into any grounded outlet, and the compressor is less noisy than the compressor... review »

This deep freezer is perfect if u dont have alot of room at your current location. I have a small apartment and it fits perfectly...it is small but it locks so i can keep my 3 yr old out of it...i absolutely love it!

I've had this freezer for about a month now and have had no problems. It's extremely quiet and definitely keeps food frozen solid. I left the temp at the factory settings and it seems more than sufficient. So far I'm very pleased. I debated for a while whether to purchase the next size up, but after considering that it's better to keep your freezer full to reduce the energy cost I opted for the smaller version. I wouldn't want it any smaller, but for the 2-3 person family, it's sufficient. Don't hesitate to buy it if you need a small freezer.

My household is a family of 7 and the freezer on top of fridge isn't enough to hold all meats and treats like ice cream, so getting this freezer works out great as i can buy more meats and ice creams with all the extra space i have now! I love the delivery service, they even took the freezer down to my basement. Great service! Thanks Sears!! :)

We just purchased this freezer for our townhome and it was just the right size since we are limited on space. The inside is deep and roomy and plenty big for a family of 2-4 people. We can now buy in bulk and save money because we have the extra room now! We are extremely happy with this purchase! My parents liked mine so much that they went out and bought the same one for their home!

For its cubic capacity, it was the cheapest brand name I could find among Wal-Mart, Lowes or Home Depot. However, it is on the high end of the contiuum of energy consumption for similarly sized freezers (average of $26/year energy costs).

Last Spring I needed a new refrigerator so I purchased a new side by side with extra refrigerator space and limited freezer space, knowing that I had an upright freezer. This winter, during this economic crisis, my beloved upright freezer died on me. I really didn't trust the economy enough to invest in another upright at this time, so I decided to buy a small chest freezer. Wow, what a delight this one is. I purchased a White Kenmore 5.0 cu. ft. Manual Defrost Chest Freezer, it was the best purchase I have ever made online. I researched various other stores and found that Sears had the best deal and service, on this particular brand and model chest freezer. I would recommend it to anyone.

We are so happy with our freezer, I couldnt be happier!! It fits right were we need it to go. We chose to go with the smaller size because of our budget but we are glad we did because of the Kansas flooding. My husband and I were able to pick it up with out a problem even full of foodand move it to a drier location. It works like a dream and it helps wonders with six kids to feed and all of them teenagers....it holds alot of pizzas.

This freezer is the perfect capacity for two people in a condo/apartment, to supplement the freezer in the refrigerator. Actually, this has become our main freezer, and the freezer in the fridge is for ice cubes, ice cream and "overflow". It's unobtrusive, reasonably quiet, and costs less than similar ones. We've only had it a few months, but from what I've seen here I would expect it to last a while.
