Just bought a new unit but we hear a dripping sound internally while compressor is operating?  Do others here the same?

Hi there, dogchain!  Welcome to MySears.  If you have any questions, and the freezer is brand new, maybe give 1-800-4-MY-HOME a call.  They can try to troubleshoot the problem, and if they can't figure it out, will send a technician out, at no charge to see.

Well thank you for the response.  Yes, it is 3 days old and I will try calling and I will let you know how it works out.  Thanks D

Dripping or "gurgling" sounds can simply be the coolant (per my fridge's owner's manual).

Is there any water under the freezer?

That would be a "bad thing".

I hope this helps.

The gurgling sound, mine makes, was quite disconcerting, until I read the manual trouble-shooting section. - No trouble, tis natural.

Well, I called and they set up an appointment time for a technician to visit.  He called and told my wife that the loud noise is what the little freezers make and it will get louder as it gets older.  I guess we will live with it......  E
