“Don't bother or you'll be hot and bothered”
Kenmore 5,000 BTU Single Room Air Conditioner —
If you want to throw away a hundred bucks, buy this unit! I purchased this unit in June of this year (2008). Got it home and installed it with no problems. The first 4 weeks it performed flawlessly. I have the unit in the window of a 12' by 15' room and, at first, it kept the room cool very nicely. Now it runs, the fan blows, I can hear the compressor come on and...barely cool air coming out of the unit! I cleaned the filter every week and when it died I vacuumed off the coils, made sure there were no bent or deformed fins...all to no avail. I figure I spent $25 a week to stay cool! Add it up and that's around $450.00 for a single cooling season. That's a big waste in my book. Don't buy!!!Kenmore 5,000 BTU Single Room Air Conditioner
