“Very Quiet”

Kenmore 5,300 BTU Single Room Air Conditioner — 

We have several other room A/C units, none compare to this unit. When I first installed it in a second-floor bedroom, I went outside to make sure it was secure. I couldn't hear anything from ~12 feet away, so I went in to turn it back on, and it was already running. You can hear the compressor kick in on our other 5K unit from the other side of the neighbor's yard! This is a full-featured unit, and uses relatively little electricity. I noticed no significant increase in our bill, even with 90+ degree days, and our house is very old with no insulation, so the upstairs is an oven on any sunny day above 60 degrees. I will buy at least one more of these units this year, and do often recommend them to friends. Not sure who makes them, but they're a quality unit for sure.
