We had the hard freeze here in Houston and for some reason the pilot light went out. Relit pilot light and gasve 6-8 hours to reheat. Now, we have to turn the handle all the way over to hot for us to get some hot water.

Question: With the pilot light going out, will that allow setaments to gather in the bottom and not allow the water to heat properly?

If not, then why do I have good flow but very little hot water?  Thanks.
