I received the water heater at the local Sears store in Livingston, Texas. They checked if for any indication of damage and loaded it into my SUV for its trip to my home. I changed the lower element from 3800 watts to 5500 watts as indicated possible. This was a very easy conversion.
I installed the heater in about 30 minutes (after draining and removing the old water heater). It was a snap to install and connect to the electrical power. I turned the heater on and checked the hot water temperture the next day. It was about 110 degrees, a little to cool for me. I set the thermostats...
read full review »Hot water is one of my favorite things especially since I live in the very cold state of Maine. When my water tank went Sears came right over and installed a very nice 50 gallon power miser hot water tank.It keeps my water nice and hot for those cold and not so cold times that i need it.Thank you Sears!
My model number may not match the one on the website, but I have the Kenmore Power Miser 12 (12 means it’s warranted for 12 years), 50 gallons, 320592, electric water heater which we have been using the past 9-1/2 years without problem. I was able to self-install this heater, a matter of connecting the power and the water inlet and outlet lines. I remember when I first connected it, we had hot water within about half hour of turning on the power. To prolong the life of the heater, I also installed a water filter to the inlet line. When I had removed the old water heater, I removed the heating...

However, I'd suggest buying the self-install kit, as opposed to paying for a Sears' contracted plumber. The number of issues I had, including a loss of ALL household water, due to shotty workmanship, were astronomical. Ask around with friends, and coworkers. ********** will even show you the easier connector to use, compared to what never would have needed replacing in my own home, had he used the simpler--and more effective--method.
This heater was purchased a year before i bought the house. I know cause i helped put it in. I have owned the house for 14 years. I have replaced only 2 elements since i have been there. and leaks? None here. Not only that but no rust anywhere on the unit. I would recomend this water heater to anyone. It may not be the same one but it is close. But thinking of replaceing it because of age just in case. Garranttee it will be this one.
