Kenmore 50 gal. Tall Natural Gas Hot Water Heater (33157) —

I did extensive research on water heaters before I chose the Sears Power Mizer 12. The specifications were quite impressive. It took me 2 hours to drain and disconnect the old water heater and install the Power Mizer. The one thing I noticed immediately was it was cool to the touch even when it's heating water. This is the result of 2" of insulation. They even give you pipe insulation and insulation for the pressure relief valve. The recovery time is excellent. I didn't use Sears installation but it was the most reasonable of prices I got from local plumbers before I decided to install it myself. Sears was between $200 to $500 less. I live in Long Island.
