Kenmore 6,000 BTU Single Room Air Conditioner —

Read countless online reviews from stores (Sears, Best Buy etc.) and from every googleable website that compares air conditioners. I tried the 5,200 BTU Kenmore (quiet but not very powerful) and a 6,000 BTU Frigidaire (loudest A/C Ive ever owned, worked OK otherwise) and returned both and bought this one. This is QUIET and it WORKS and though it isnt super cheap you get what you pay for and more. It was just about able to cool off two bedrooms, a bathroom and a small hallway at the same time, on a 95 degree, humid day. Not bad for an energy-efficient 6000 BTU "low-profile" AC. I would rate it a 4.5 or so out of 5. Highly recommended.
