This is the fourth Kenmore washing machine we have owned in 30 years.  Our family of 5 use the washing machine daily.  I love the Triple Action agitator and the different wash cycles (heavy duty to delicate).  The newest feature I like is the tap water feature.  The spin cycle is great whether...

PIECE OF JUNK

I have had this junk for 1 year.  It is NOISY, and mine has the "noise quieting" package that is no longer available.  It does not spin the towels, etc. as dry as my old washer (26 years old), the agitation beats the clothes (might as well use a rock), the "hand and delicate" wash is more like what ...

Kenmore 600 3.5 cu. ft. Top-Load Washing... Reviews

Displaying reviews 1 - 13 of 62 in total

I've been so happy with my 600 series Top-Loading Washing Machine.  I keep it working all of the time and I'd have to say this machine is a workhorse.  It just keeps on cleaning, load after load.

It's got a clean white appearance and isn't too big like the HE models.  The tub is large enough to handle an enormous amount of clothes.  This comes in handy with two teenagers in the house.  The controls are straight forward and easy to understand.  I can't think what else you'd want in a washing machine.

I love this washer! Just got it last night and have done six loads already and two loads were quilts from bed. i don't think it's noisy at all and laundry room is very little and right in the middle of my house. My husband hooked at all up and said it was easy. If my opinion changes after awhile I will write another review.

Gets the job done

We bought this to replace a 25 year old Kenmore washer. We wanted something basic without too much bling. This one fit the bill. Some of the reviews have described this washer as noisy, but I don't think it's particularly loud.

Pros: a wide range of selectable water levels and temperatures, large capacity, works with any kind of detergent. The "hand wash" setting seems to work well with the delicate stuff.

Cons: Just one thing: the clothes come out wetter than they did with my old machine. If they feel really wet, I manually run them through an extra spin cycle or else they'll spend more time in...

Shakes Like A Jackhammer!

I bought this at Sears Hardware because ours died & it was the only one in stock. I regret this decision immensely! This is the noisiest washing machine I have ever owned. It shakes (yes the floor and machine are level) and bangs like nothing I've ever experienced. I should have read some of the appliance review sites before making this purchase.

I'll be donating this piece of junk to charity soon & taking the tax write off.

Just had this washer delivered today and have already done 3 loads. Yes, it is a bit noisier then our last Kenmore washer, but it's in the garage and is not a problem.

Compared to our old Kenmore washer it's has a slightly larger capacity, fills with water faster, agitates a bit stronger (when needed), drains faster and spins the clothes drier.

In almost all respects it appears to operate as a good solid washing machine which is what we wanted when we bought it.  It also has all the features of our old machine including the various wash cycles.

To avoid problems, it is very important to read...

Very Pleased

So far we are very pleased with the Kenmore 600 washing machine we purchased 3 weeks ago on 3-22-10.  This machine allows you to choose your water level, temperature, extra rinse cycle and many wash styles and times.  The triple agitator action makes a bit of noise during the wash cycle, but over all the machine is quiet and clothes spin to a normal damp and dry in the usual time.  I think the triple action works very well to get the dirt out of everything including rugs and shoes.  I wash everything and a good washing machine is a must for me.  I researched many machines including all the...

The washers today are a dream.  When my new washer was delivered by the Sears delivery, they were, as I remembered, simply wonderful and accommodating.  That means I got to dig out the Swiffer to do a quick clean under where the new washer would be.

When they were done, all I could do was look in awe for the first few days.  Now I am washing everything from quilts, to gentle items in the Hand Wash option, opting for a second rinse when I want, and know I do not have to do the babysitting I had done with my old washer.

Although the old washer was a free one, it was a Kenmore.  When...

I have had my Kenmore 600 top-loading washer for about a month.  I am very pleased with it overall.  The only potential negative is that, occasionally as it finishes spinning out the water, it seems to stop rather abruptly and some what loudly, though not enough to be considered a problem.  Haven't had to opportunity yet to use the handwash cycle, but I am so pleased it is on there!

I really like the Kenmore 600 top-loading washer because of its settings and appearance.  I love how I can select all water levels from "extra small" to "extra large" because it makes it more efficient than most washers i've ever used in the past except for the newest styles of efficient washers.  The more efficient ones were way out of my budget, and even though it would have been wonderful to have one, I'm happy with the Kenmore 600 washer I bought. I like the silver color that surrounds the controls at the top and the bright white base. It's very sharp and fresh looking.  Also, I love that...

Purchased August 12, 2010

After 20 some plus years we decided to buy a new washer. We own a Kenmore and decided to stick with Kenmore. After shopping online a few days we were ready to buy. The sales person was really nice and knowledgeable.

After delivery we couldn’t wait to try it out. It was some what noisy but not bad at all, and after a few times using it the noise seem to be less. Our old machine we could choose the different temperatures for wash to rinse. But this new washer we could only chose the temperature for the wash cycle the rinse cycle is always cold. After some thought we would...

Does a great job!

With six kiddos, I do A LOT of laundry! My Kenmore Washer has lasted a long, long time through many, many loads and still going strong! Keep up the good work, Kenmore!

The Kenmore 600 Washing Machine without the water level censor is working great.  I am glad we decided to purchase this washing machine.  Actually this washing machine is not as noisy as the other washing machine I had. We made a good purchase. The mysearsrebate.com site was easy to access. Thank you Sears.

I had looked at two models in the store before choosing this one. I paid extra for this one because of its "quiet" features. It is not quiet at all! When stopping and starting during a cycle, it clunks. When it is in the spin cycle, it sounds like it is about to tear through the wall.
