Kenmore 600 7.0 cu. ft. Electric Dryer - 6962 Reviews

     This dryer replaces a similar older model that I had for 30 years! The moisture sensor is better, and the machine is quieter overall. I like the louder buzzer because I rarely heard the old machine's signal in the basement. I also prefer the door that opens downward rather than to the side.

We bought this product last week and I love the fact that when the clothes are dry the dryer knows this and it does not continue to heat especially when I am drying towels.  Our family does a lot of laundry and we do large loads so I had to have something that would not only dry big loads but save energy as well.  I have never owned anything but a Kenmore and probably won't ever change that. 

After using hand-me-down dryers for years, it is an awesome pleasure to find a large capacity dryer at an affordable price.  This dryer has all the features one could want in a dryer.  I can even dry my King sized quilts!!!!!!!  I have a large capacity washer, but would some times have to divide the loads in order to dry them and there was no way to dry even a queen size quilt much less a king.  We are saving on time and electricity now, because we are drying less loans.  For a working couple, less time spent doing laundry is more time we can spend on things we enjoy.  The auto sensor drying...

This dryer dries clothing quickly regardless of which of the four clothing weight settings used.  It easily holds a large load of clothing.  The vent screen is on the top right hand side of this dryer near the on knob, making it easy to use and easy to remember to clean.

It was a great value for the money, and continues to pay back in its efficiency.

From first day this dryer did not dry in the sensor dry mode.  On last Kenmore (had it more than 20 years) we used only the sensor dry mode, but we were forced to use the timer mode only on this one.  At 4 months, the drum stopped tumbling.  I tried to take apart to replace the belt, but you have to remove the entire cabinet to do so, so called Sears and told them to take it back or I would paint it lemon yellow and put it on the curb in front of their store. 

Sears agreed to take it back for complete credit if I buy the replacement dryer from them - a fair deal, and great customer service...

My Kenmore dryer is 3 yrs. old. I love everything about it. Its quite, Dries complete and its just great. 

I will say that just recently I had to call a repair guy in because it started making loud noises. Turns out that the wheel baron that holds the belt was burnt out. Would have been a $200 plus service call. Would I buy another Kenmore - probably

I bought the Kenmore 600 7 cu. ft. dryer and I love this dryer!  It is quiet and dries clothes very quickly using less energy.  I like the drying sensor.  When the clothes are dry, it keeps tumbling without heat, so they come out needing very little ironing. Yes, I still iron!  I have been married 37 years and have have used other brands, but for the money this has been my favorite thus far. I also went for the larger capacity and my comforters and blankets don't get wrinkled. It's worth the extra cost in my opinion.  I like the appearance of it as well.  I would highly recommend this dryer....

When my 18 year old Kenmore dryer broke I decided to purchase another Kenmore. I had looked on line and decided on the 500 series. The salesman at Sears showed me this 600 series model  (not much price difference at the time) because it doesn't stop when the clothes are done, it will air fluff them for about 40 min - what a great feature, didn't have it with the last one. the dryer works great! If you are looking for a great dryer at a great price - this is the one for you. 

Got my new Kenmore dryer this week & love it.  Runs so quiet!!  I hope to see savings on next electric bill as it finishes much faster than old dryer.

Got this back about a year ago along with the Kenmore 600 washer.  Like the washer it can handle a large load.  We have had it a year now with no trouble.  We got the extended protection and had the sears maitenance check done a little while ago.  While we hope nothing goes wrong with it we like knowing a sears tech is only a phone call away since we'd be in trouble without a dryer.  And the maitenance check is needed anyways to keep lint from building up inside and I don't normally have the time to do it myself.

Only reason i didn't give it five stars is because it isn't energy effecient,...

 This dryer not only met our expectations and exceeded them, it even exceeded our excessive expectations! I really feel like this dryer has changed our lives! The clothes come out clean, dry and springtime fresh-smelling, but not hot and overly dried. Our young ones love it. I saw our youngest in the laundry room, on top of the dryer, touching all the shiny parts (until I yelled at her to get off!).

 The children used to complain about how their clothes felt, but with this new dryer, that's a thing of the past. We probably won't have to buy them new clothes as often (don't tell!).
