2 years and no problems. Saves lots of $$ on electric vs our 25 yr old 50 gal.

I didn't need to hook up the optional second element, I am able to take 40 minute showers if I want to.

I went on a vacation for a week and turned off the tank and when I got back home the water was obviuosly not hot still, but it only took like 5-10 minutes and I had hot water....very fast unit. (and thats without the 2nd element!)

The wife and I have never run out of hot water except twice... after she was in the shower 30+ minutes and then I was for 20-25 minutes right after another.
...

Heats up quickly - had family of 7.

In 5 years - had to replace both therostats. Even though 12 years warranty on parts after 1 or 2. SEARS 800 numbers not set up to send out warranty parts - Kept getting run around. Finally got manager to agreed to send out tech free to bring out part. I replaced parts - simple & quick if handy and following instructions. The drain valve is CHEAP plastic - most are anymore. Everytime I open it - will not stop dripping. Replaced 1 time and the washer another.
...

Anonymous says "Good Unit, Excess Hot Water" about Kenmore 66 gal. Tall Electric Water Heater (32164)

We picked up this unit as a floor model, install was simple, and it's been working great ever since. My only issue is that if you crank temp much above factory, you will get too hot of water. Understand that our water lines are insulated, etc, but the unit kicks out all my family of four can or should use....

This water heater has worked fine for 2 1/2 years, until last week when we started to run out of hot water. With a twelve year warranty, I 'd expect not to need to repair this unit for the first five years. This was/is not an inexpensive water heater. I am not impressed....

The installation was very easy. The only bummer was that it was a little taller than my old water heater. So it required me to shorten the pipes that connect to it. The total installation took me about 3 hours.

The build quality of the unit was pretty good. I wish the temperature element access covers fit to the contour of the round tank better.

I like the extra insulation. You can tell this unit has much more foam than my old Rheem unit....

Installed this beast a few months ago and have the following feedback: 1) It's heavy. If you're used to the standard 40 gallon heater, this thing is much heavier and larger. 2) In spite of having three showers and a big jacuzzi tub, a - it has never run cold. 3) The default temperature setting may convince you that it's not heating properly, crank it up a notch and you will be fine.

It has also been inexpensive to run.
