Purchased this freezer a couple of weeks ago and it's working fine. I like the small footprint and the two small, sliding baskets on the top.

We were so pleased with our Kenmore 8.8 cu. ft. Chest Freezer (1692). The lift out baskets are so easy to manage. We have never had a problem with it. Try it out, you'll be pleased.

I bought this thru the web site during a special promotion period that was offering very attractive pricing. What was delivered fully met my expectations. No problems with the purchase thru the Sears website.

Delivery to the store and notification to me was prompt. I had chosen the delivery to store option and then i picked it up myself at the local store with my pickup truck to save the delivery charges.

The store personel (Roselle, NJ) were very polite and promptly delivered the freezer to my vehicle and assited us in loading it into the truck...Great service at the store.

The freezer was easy to uncrate and setup. it has been running now about 2 weeks in my garage. It runs very quiet and is currently set at the middle of the temperature control's dial setting and is holding the cold very well at 0 degrees. it does not run excessively and appears to be very efficient. there has been no build up of frost. the light that is built into the door is a very good feature....

I don't have much space in my laundry room/pantry and this freezer is the perfect size! It holds enough frozen goods for our family of 4 for a month plus some extras as well. Great little freezer for small families!

I had made sauce and put it in the freezer. Within hours it was frozen solid. Works great. Good price. Lots of space if your freezing in containers. You can stack containers great in this very deep freezer.

Do not purchase a Kenmore freezer. We ordered half a cow in April, 2011, and bought a Kenmore freezer in August 2011, and picked up the butchered beef in October 2011. In november, we noticed foul smells and upon seaching the freezer that the bottom haf of the beef had thawed. We called the store manager who said he could send someone to replair the freezer, but it was just my bad luck that $375 of beef had been lost. Buy a GE freezer!!!!!

I absolutely LOVE my Kenmore 8.8 cu ft chest freezer. It is not too small and not too big. I purchased 2 of these because I figured if I don't have enough food to fill both freezers, I don't have to be using extra electricity to keep a huge chest freezer cold, so I cut down on electric if only one freezer is full, but I know I have the extra room with the other 8.8 cu ft which I use to stock up food on holidays, and on fresh bulk farm fresh food that I buy. These 8.8 cu ft chest freezer use very little electricity, and because the size is so perfect, they do not get in the way. They are very quiet, and work great. I could HIGHLY RECOMMEND this chest freezer. I keep both of them in my garage year round with absolutely no problems....

Kenmore 8.8 cu. ft. chest freezer is a great addition to any small house looking for space to store up food for the long run. With its slick dimensions and easy to open door top, this chest freezer brings alot of storage in a little package. The freezer comes with a one dial temperature control, which makes it easy and simple to install and operate for anyone. Even though it is not branded as 'Energy Star' efficient, when compared to the next two larger size models, the 'energy usage' is very similar. One down side to purchasing this size is that Kenmore does not make dividers or extra organizing baskets or accessories for it. Only caution warning that I would bring out is when purchasing this freezer, be sure to examine the bottom of it before accepting it, due to the lack of protection to the insulation located underneath the freezer. While picking up the freezer, it was only by chance that I noticed that the insulation had been damaged during shipping, since the bottom of the freezer......

We have had this freezer for about a year now, and we love it. Its the perfect size for my husband and I (we don't have kids) and it is pretty energy efficient. It does an excellent job keeping everything frozen without making our energy bill skyrocket. The only thing I wish I could change are the plastic trays, which seem sort of flimsy. They haven't broken or anything, but I wish they were metal.

It is great! It works as it is supposed to- i love the 2 baskets at the top.... i wish maybe it had baskets for bottom because sometimes it's hard for me to get to the bottom without feeling like i am climbing in- when i get a few more dollars in savings off food i will invest in some baskets :) had this machine for over 6 months the top does dent easily so be ********/p>

I haven't had my Kenmore chest freezer very long, but already am very appreciative of its qualities. It has two handy baskets for frequently used items and two shelves. It is just the right size to fit in my dining room with a table and eight chairs. I like the light located inside the lid for easy illumination of the contents.

It was very easy to unpack and start up. I like the locking mechanism in case of small children coming to visit. I would recommend one of these for anyone looking for additional room to store frozen foods.

Have owned the Kenmore 8.8 cu. ft. chest freezer for two weeks now. Levelled it and plugged it in and has been running great ever since. No leaking or condensation issues observed. Very quiet, good thing the indicator light lets you know its running. Appreciate the size and features of this product. Interior light and baskets are benificial.

Levelling feet and the addition of a 1/2" hose adapter for the drain would be benificial though.
