I highly recommend this humidifier. Our house is about 1900 square feet. The humidifier runs quietly in the hallway under the cold air return. I will move it to a bedroom later. It does not run silently, but rather, is like having a fan going. The best part is that the house is no longer dry and we... read full review »

Disappointed - Not worth the money

I have been using this humidifer for about a month and am pretty disappointed. The humidity reading (which controls the output) is always about 10-15% too high which prevents the needed moisture from being released. Except for the lowest setting (which doesn't release enough moisture) the fan is pretty... read full review »

We love this humidifier.  Love that it monitors the moisture level, love the auto-dry function so you don't get that nasty smell.  Love that we don't have to turn it on and off, just set it to how we like it and leave it.  It is a bit noisy, but only if you turn the fan all the way up.

I have owned this humidifier for almost four years. It works perfectly and helps in keeping our allergies at bay.  It provides moisture throughout our home and alleviates the drying conditions that can be felt especially in the kitchen area while cooking . Also, the filters for this humidifier is not expensive and can be bought at any Sears store.  I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs the benefits of a good moisture level in their home.

A little noisy, but good.

I have had other Kenmore humidifiers before this one and I'm impressed with the durability.  It does a good job of humidifying the air, which of course is the whole point of the unit.  The only drawback is the noise.  There are three fan settings, and the highest fan setting is far too noisy.  The middle setting is a little too loud to let me sleep, but it is ok for the wife.  The lowest fan setting is where we leave it most of the time.  I've had other humidifiers before this one, but most of them break after a year or two.

It works ok

I have had this for over a year.  It works pretty good but we live in the desert so its working pretty hard to get a little humidity in the room.

8-gal humidifier is a must!

I live in a basement apartment with 6 furnaces right behind my apartment. My apartment was always so dry, my 2 cats and I (I know, crazy old cat lady,) were constantly dry and itchy. It is like night and day. It holds 2.4 gallons at one time, (I was afraid it was going to be gigantic when I was waiting for it to come. The first two days, I had to refill it quite often. That was because everything was SO DRY in here. Now, it is reducing it's output to just maintain my humidity level. I keep it set at 45%. This keeps my apartment at around 30%. As far as the sensor being too close to the unit, I... read full review »

Make Your Home Comfortable

This humidifier really is a must! The air is dry in a home in winter. This humidifier will moisten the air and that helps to keep down static electricity & dust particles. You will need less heat because humid air feels warmer. The whole family will feel & breathe better. Just fill it up set the humidity level and enjoy.
