I have had this for less than a month but can say so far it is THE BEAT SWEEPER I have had in a long time. I usually go through a vacuum every year. The last one was so bad, I hate non bag vacuums, why would I want to pick dirt out of the filter every time I use the blasted thing. This sweeper picks...

Kenmore Progressives do their job well *but* the hose cracks easily and there is no way for a laymen to fix the problem.  Even our local, independent vacuum repair shop says you have to order the entire hose assembly which (I looked up on Sears parts website) is almost the cost of a new Kenmore Progressive. ...

Better than I thought!

I have always owned a Kenmore vacuum and have been satisfied with them, so I really didn't want another brand, but I did look into others just to be sure. The Kenmore had the power I wanted, the attachments and even the length of the cord. I looked at the Kenmore Vacuum model just above this one and found it very impracticable. There was an attachment, attached to the curve of the handle that even the salesman had difficulty pulling it off and snapping it back on. That's when I decided on this vacuum. All the attachments fit in the canister. There is good suction to this vacuum. It also has a strong...

Have had this little guy less than 6 hours and have already vacuumed half my house. I have 2100 sq ft of tile and need a vacuum with powerful suction that will quicken my cleaning routine, not add to it. I purchased directly from the store and they price-matched the on-line price (it was $210 in the store), for $190 this is a great machine!

I grew up with Kenmore canister vacuums, this is actually my first one I've purchased. Kenmore has gotten cheap with the on-board tools; it used to be you got the long-bristle dusting brush and the upgraded furniture brush but now you have to purchase them separately...

After much reading of reviews for all types of vacuum cleaners I found this on sale at KMart for $60.00 off. I bought it mainly based on price. All I can say after using it is that I got a steal. This vacuum cleaner exceeded all my expectations. I have laminate flooring with a couple of small dogs that live in the house with me. So, I was looking for something that would be good on pet hair. I usually vacuum first with a bagless upright and then use a floor cleaning product with a microfiber mop. Regularly, I have to change mops at least once because of the dirt picked up by the mop. With this...

This model had the basics that I was looking for and was priced right. The salesman recommended the next higher model of Kenmore but a closer look revealed that the motors were the same, and other than extra accessories, there was little difference to justify the a higher priced Kenmore Canister model. The salesman tried to demonstrate how the hose on this model disconnects but had trouble because the plastic release on the handle was broken. Nevertheless, I took this basic model home.

Assembly was straightforward and took a moment or two. After plugging it in, I spent several minutes trying...

I love it

I have owned many vacuums over the years. My first vacuum was a Kenmore canister vacuum. I owned it for 15 years before it wore out. Over the next few years I purchased many other brands of vacuums and styles of vacuums and had very poor success with these vacuums. They did not pick up as well as the Sears Kenmore vacuum did nor did they have all the great attachments so that you can clean hard to reach areas. The Kenmore canister vacuum has the most powerful suction of any vacuum I have ever owned. My first Kenmore canister vacuum lasted 15 years and it worked as well on day one as it did when...

I bought this vacuum because the other upright vacuums I have lose suction and are heavy.  I needed a vacuum that could clean both hardwood floors, area rugs, and bedroom carpets.

This vacuum is easy to use by switching the settings from floor to carpet--I don't have to get on my hands and knees to pick up pet hair! Also, it is easy to move around and doesn't exhaust me when I finish cleaning the house. I vacuum often because I have two cats and two dogs. So, I needed a good vacuum cleaner that doesn't weigh a ton.

Be careful about suction on area rugs, though, if it catches a thread, there goes...

After using an upright vacuum for years, I am enjoying using my new Kenmore Canister.  Right away, I noticed how much lighter and easier it is to push around.  The transition from carpet to floor is easy using the switch on the handle and I love that the electrical cord retracts into the vacuum.  I am plenty satisfied with the suction of the vacuum and I love how easy it is to change from using the carpet/floor wand to the vacuum hand tools. Before purchasing this vacuum, I did a lot of research to make an informed decision and have no regrets with this purchase and would recommend this vacuum...

The Kenmore canister vacuum is the best cleaning device I have come across.  As a matter of fact this is my second Kenmore canister vacuum. I purchased my first one in 1992 and the second one last year when I  retired the first one by giving it to my son (it is still going strong).

The Kenmore canister vacuum can clean anything from Automobile interiors to draperies to a mattress to ceiling fans to the bottom of the refrigerator to household floors to walls to ceilings to furniture and lots more. I am a lung cancer survivor and I need to limit my contact to dust and this little vac is a wonder...

I purchased this vacuum after lots of research.  I needed a cannister because I have mostly hard wood floors and few rugs.  So far this vacuum has performed wonderfully.  It's light weight, has a long cord and uses bags - which was a top priority for me.  The only thing I wish was a little different is the floor brush.  The bristles could be a little longer.  Otherwise, I am very happy with my new machine.

The Kenmore Canister vacuum cleaner (2029319) is a deceivingly powerful, compact unit.  Don't let it's cheery appearance fool you.  It's as powerful and effective as some of it's big brother predecessors and with a HEPA filter added, to boot. The suction is terrific.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of 1 small design oversight (according to me).  The small opening in the cover (which contains the tool compartment) is too small.  While it's great that it's secure, it bangs your finger joints while attempting to open.  Most anyone can live with that but a larger opening...
