“Great Suction, but bulky and clumsy for a canister”

The Good: This Vacum has excellant suction and is very quiet. It's very easy to get underneath funiture and works great on bare floors.
The Bad: I've used other canister Vacums and found this one to be very bulky. The tube from the canister to the vacum device is really long and tends to to bumb into...

I bought a Kenmore Canister because I figured I would spend the extra money and get a vacuum cleaner that would last. My previous vacuums were cheap ones that I nursed along. The Kenmore's were rated high by **************** and I had read great things about them. After less than two years of use... dead. I can have it fixed at half the cost of a new one :( and no guarantee it will not fail again or move on and try again for a vacuum that will really last a few years. I can not stop singing this vacuums' praises. The Kenmore I currently own is 10 years old. I also run a housekeeping buisness. The one thing I didn't see anyone mention was the ease of the tool attachments. I vacuum everything!(toilets, bathtubs, etc.) I have never owned a vacuum that transitioned between floors and attachments so easily. Not to mention the suction. Uprights manuever wonderfully, but if they have no power, they are useless. Also, didn't this brand win several "Consumers Best" awards in their category?
This unit is very easy to use, very efficient, and so affordable. My one complaint is the powerhead became progressively louder and louder. I use it in my little home-cleaning business, and it became embarrassing to use it when my clients were home. We could find no obstruction or any physical reason for it. I'm wondering if it is unique to my machine only ( maybe a quirk?), or has anyone else had this particular problem? At any rate, I will be buying a new one in January (I use it much more than just for typical home use, so it gets a real work out)....I'm willing to give it another try!
My wife and I have this vacuum and it does a wonderful job. Our daughter has gone through 3 vacuums to our one. For Christmas we bought her this, because after using ours she wanted to know if she could have it. Great vacuum and not expensive.
Works great, lots of power, head Light, easy change bags.
I was very pleased with the purchase of this canister vacuum. The purchase price was excellent for the product, ease of use and selection of tools that come with this vacuum are great!!!! I would recommend this Kenmore vacuum to anyone interested in purchasing a canister vacuum.
Pretty much a quiet running vac for the power it has. Bags were not available however at KMart store where it was purchased.
A friend of mine had a Kenmore Canister Vaccum that was over 10 years old and it still worked as good as my newer one that I have. These things last forever and work so very well and for the price compared to others, I think this is the very best vaccum you can get. I recommended a friend to get one and she did and she has been extremely satisfied and she will enjoy it for years to come. I was told the dyson was a very good vaccum too but if you like canisters this is the one!!!!!
