If you are looking for a decent,low cost vac for hardwood floors or non carpet areas this one is great. I have all hardwood floors in my house and have 5 dogs. If you buy this vacuum (20 26082) yellow canister Kenmore), you will no doubt regret it. The problem I discovered is that the filter is not adequate for use without a bag, and the unit is not designed to use a bag, and there is no bag available for this model. Worst vacuum I have ever used. Might be good for car, that's about it. About to throw mine out for the trash, as it quit working, looks brand new because it has hardly been used - no suction when wand for floors is attached - filter must be cleaned after each use, full indicator does not work, you can't tell on/off switch from cord switch. Don't waste your $.

Great little sweeper for the price. It has more suction than my older Kenmore canister. I like the HEPA filter on top and storage of accessories on the wand is handy. Easy to empty. It works very well.

I grew up with Kenmore appliances in my home. I used the very same canister vacuum that my mother used.. not sure whatever happened to that particular vaccum but that was the bomb! This does not compare in any way,shape or form. Major disapointment from the word go. No sooner did I get it assembled and I was taking it apart to empty it and so on and so on. It works for a few moments and then you have to empty it. There is hardly anything in the canister but yet it loses suction and the indicator shows it is full. This is a good little vacuum for the money. It is very dependable, if you are willing to empty the dirt chamber after you use it. It comes with a double layer dirt filter in the dirt cup and a small brush to help you clean the filter here. This unit is well made and comes with several attachments. We have owned it since last fall and I have been impressed with the way it cleans. It will have to be cleaned out regularly, so if you do not like to empty the vacuum, do not get this vacuum. It does a good job picking up dog hair, dust, and general stuff around the house.

As soon as I put this vacuum together I could tell it was flimsy. I tried it on my living room carpet and could not move it back and forth to vacuum. It did not pick up anything. I have always sworn by Kenmore products. I was so disapointed. I have a Kenmore sewing machine that I bought in 1970 and I use it every day. It's great. I own several Kenmore appliances and they're great. But I am really hesitent to buy another vacuum from sears. Since my panasonic died I really need a new one. So I guess I will be checking out other vacuums.

I bought this vac 2 weeks ago what a shame. It has really good suction, but once dog hair gets on the filter it's done for. You can only do one really small room at a time before you need to empty it out and thats very messy and dusty. I did my 10X10 room and had to empty it out 3X. Like I said it's just like a big dust buster becuase thats all it will hold. I wonder why they put such a big dirt cup when you never get to use it before the filter clogs up. This would be a awesome vac if it had bags.

This product doesnt work well at all. The thing on the front that is suppose to tell you when it is full never works. After using it a few times the on and off button breaks. And it makes horriable noises after a while when it is on. Also the front doesn't close correctly. I would not recommend this to anyone to buy. It is cheap and you get what you paid for.

I broght this vacum and for the ceramic floor works great but not on carpets. The big problem is when you try to get the filter for this vacum. I being tray for more than two years on get the filters order on line or buying without any good response. Every time that I use this vacum I have to wash the filter and blow dry befere is use. Can you imaging how frustated Iam trying to buy or order this item on line.

I use this inexpensive vacuum for general cleaning of floors, area rugs, and furniture only. It has excellent suction and is easy to move from place to place . It is not designed or built for cleaning carpets. Its deficiencies are (1) FULL indicator should be redesigned - activates too early and (2) the two operating buttons need to be made different so to distinguish them easier (I used a red marking pencil so I could immediately identify the Power button)

For an average size room (12 x 12), I have to empty the chamber 3 or 4 times. It doesn't have good suction. There is a fluttering sound it makes that is very annoying. Make sure the hose is empty before you put it in the closet, debris remains in the hose. I'm returning it today.

I was really disapointed in this product. The suction is very poor. The filter fills up with just one sweep of the floor. My dustbuster has better suction than this vacuum cleaner. I plan to return this product. Not up to your usual standards.

Bought this vacuum last year and was very excited that it's small and powerful. But I should say that the carpet brush is poorly designed and I used a small furniture brush to vacuum floors! It's perfect to vacuum blinds and my car but filter clogged up so fast that I had to stop several times during the process to clean it. I live in 2 bedroom apartment, it is pretty small and I had to clean filter at least 5-6 times while vacuuming both rooms. The indicator shows that it's full and it loses its suction.
