Hey guys this dryer is a perfect match for the Kenmore portable washer (model 44722). It features a compact design (dimensions 23-7/8 in. w X 32-1/2 in. h X 20-1/2 in. d) and easy portability with the casters that are included. Just perfect for my apartment dwellers that want the comfortability and ease of doing their laundry at home!
The most amazing feature is that it operates on a standard 110 electric current. So for those of you that do not have a dryer at home because you do not have a gas line or 220 electricity line then this is the perfect match for you! No more will you have to wash your clothes at home and then go to the Laundromat to dry them and have the attendants looking at you funny.
This Kenmore Compact dryer is very versatile. You have the option to purchase the stack stand accessory (model 49971) to house your dryer on top and the matching washer (model 44722) underneath. With the stack stand it comfortably hides away in a space about 24 inches wide and 72 inches high. This would be equal to our traditional all-in-one laundry center units. It can also be placed on top of a shelf, or stand alone on your floor (with the use of the caster or leveling legs that are included).
Please do remember to make sure that you house this item near a window. This dryer still requires venting outside of the home through the rear vent system. Make sure you allow for a little space between the wall and the unit to have proper ventilation. With dryers, you must make sure to clean the lint trap often to keep your unit in optimum working condition!
The capacity of this dryer is 3.4 cu. Ft and can easily handle the load from the matching 2.1 cu ft. portable washer (model 44722). If you have a standard sized washers (3.5 cu. Ft ) make sure you do not overload this dryer! Split the load in half and dry them separately. Otherwise, you run the risk of overburdening the motor with the weight of the clothes! You also will set yourself up to be drying all day because nothing will get dry fast.
The unit features 3 heat settings - delicates (low), permanent press (medium), and cottons (high). There is also a timed dry (105 minutes), air dry, and auto dry (senses dampness and shuts off when clothes are dry). There is also an end of cycle signal so that you can quickly rescue your clothes when they're finished to prevent wrinkles from settling in.
