Beautiful Fridge!

This is a beautiful, functional fridge that looks great and holds a lot of beverages. My only wish is that I could use it as a built in instead of freestanding, but it's not front vented. The blue LED lighting is really neat and looks terrific. All in all, a good buy.

We purchased and installed in our new kitchen both the 126 can beverage center and the wine cooler.  We have had similar problems as noted in previous reviews - the temperature setting doesn't stay programed with a power outage, and the door does not close easily - bounces open often with both adult...

Pricey but Awesome

PROS:

As a beverage cooler, this one not only looks nice but has a couple nice features.  The temperature control readout is a nice touch especially if you're trying to keep certain drinks at a temperature that’s optimal for serving. If you're buying this to hold soda/lite beer then the lowest temp of 39 degrees may not be the coldest for you.  However, I bought this fridge to store craft beer, much of which should be stored between 45-60 degrees so this fridge just does fine.

The blue LED lights at the top actually light up the whole fridge pretty well.  I was concerned that if all the shelves...

The fridge looks nice but 39 degrees is not cold enough for pop and beer. My 30 year old dorm fridge stays colder than this fridge. The door also bounces open when you close it unless you are very careful.

I purchased this for my master bedroom.  I looked at A LOT of bev. centers before I choose this one.  A few things to note.  As most everyone else stated it only gets to 39 degrees.  BUT you will find this with most beverage centers.  Which actually makes NO sense at all to me.  The glass shelves are nice.  The blue LED light is pretty cool.  Although even with it off the temperature display is VERY bright.  As I said it is in my bedroom and at night it literally lights up the entire room, even with the light off and just the temperature display showing through.  Keep this in mind if...

I bought this frig because it fit our space well and was a nice complement to our other Stainless appliances.  My intended usage was primarily for beer and pop.  Initially I was disappointed because it would not keep my brews ice cold.  I was storing my beer on the bottom shelves, intuitively thinking it would be the coolest part of the frig.  Almost by accident I stumbled upon the truth when I popped open a Fat Tire that had been inadvertently placed on the top shelf.  The beer was ice cold!  Evidently it is cooler at the top, which now makes sense because this is where the fan is located,...

We purchased our Kenmore cooler less than two years ago this month. It is dead and useless. I would steer clear of this product.

Refrigerator

I purchased this fridge for my basement bar. I ordered it from my local store as they didn't have in stock. The coldest setting is 39 degrees. I repeat the LOWEST the thermostat can be set is 39 degrees. I am going to try to find a technician to rewire/replace the thermostat. My other refrigerators will get my beer down to close to 30 degrees.

Very good but...

This cooler works quite well except for one caveat; If the power goes out (even for a second or two) the thermostat defaults to 52 degrees. Of course this makes no sense at all so I did some research through Sears and found out that this product is just the wine cooler with different shelves (they look almost identical side by side in the store). So if you come some day looking for a frosty cold beer it might not be too frosty. Also milk and some juices will spoil at this temperature. So be careful. Bottom line. It does keep drinks around 39-41 degrees and does a good job at that as long as there... read full review »

Great Product!

THe cooler keeps the beverages within 1-2 degrees of my setting(41F) and is very quiet. I have read another review about energy usage and the trick there is to keep the unit just about full. This way it doesn't have to run all the time to chill down all new beverages, just the few that have been added. Cooling down a beverage center full of warm products takes a lot of energy. It has only added about 4-5 dollars to my electric bill every month.

in addition to the fact that the thermostat needs to be reset to a lower temperature everytime there is a power interuption the only complaint to this nice unit is that the thermostat should be able to be set lower.  if this was possible i would easily overlook the inconvienence of resetting it.  I had no trouble using it as a built in.  set it on 1-1/2" riser.  Still allows 3/4" at the top for air circulation.  Great unit.

OK, could be better.

Major issue with this unit is that it reverts the setting to 52 degrees with every power outage. This can be very disconcerting when you go to serve your cold beverage and find it is a coolish beverage instead. Unit should have user adjustable default setting or simply remember setting. Minor quibble=--if shelves were adjustable or if top shelf was just tall enough to accept upright pop can it would improve capacity significantly. Good points--digital setting and digital readout of actual are really nice. Unit seems to keep product within a degree or so of setting--too bad the setting occasionally... read full review »

love my beverage center

I purchased this Kenmore Elite beverage center. It said not to be built in but I read one reviewer vented it. I placed it under the counter and vented it to the outside. It was very simple to vent. It looks awesome and keeps the drinks ice cold. I have received numerous compliments. The L.E.D. blue light is just too cool. I love walking into my kitchen at night and see the bright blue light. I give this the highest rating ever and would recommend it to anyone. It is so wonderful. I do not kow how we managed without it. Also, thanks to the reviewer who vented it to her laundry room. I would not... read full review »

Energy Efficiency

I love the look of the beverage center but it seems to run way too often and my electric bill went up about 30 bucks. I was wondering if anyone else had this same concern.

Used as Built In

We used this product as a built in and it looks great...It just needs proper ventilation...We cut a hole in the drywall behind it that went to the utility room...The blue LED light makes the unit look great...It has been the conversation piece of the room...
