I love my new sewing machine. It's quiet and easy to operate. The decorative stitches are so much fun to play with and turn out beautifully. The only thing that I don't care for is the automatic needle threader. By the time you figure out how to use it you could have threaded it yourself without... read full review »

GREAT WHEN IT WORKS

I had never owned a Kenmore machine, but when replacing my 20 year old Singer, I liked the features offered by the Kenmore, and figured that I would be able to get parts/repairs easily through Sears. And, in truth, when the machine operates properly, I love it. I began experiencing problems with a safety... read full review »

This machine is an absolute joy to sew on. I have made several little coin purses and one larger purse (with quilted sides) so far just so I could get used to the new machine and I LOVE it.

I own several Janome and Babylock machines, including the Janome MC11000, and love them all. But I needed to find an inexpensive, light weight machine to take to classes. The Janome models were very over-priced, so I began my online research. I found that Janome makes the Kenmore 19233, so I went to our local store to take a look. It is a beautiful little machine that is multifunctional and is portable enough to haul around! I bought it, brought it home and it is perfect! I spent less than half of what I would have spent on a Janome machine, and it is every bit as good, if not better! If...

Kenmore Computerized Drop-In Bobbin Sewing Machine with 215 Stitch Functions -

I have been sewing for 30+ years and I am a "Devoted Kenmore Sewing Machine Fan" (So was my Mom & Grandmother. ) Over the years I have used a lot of different makes of Kenmore sewing machines and I can tell you for sure that "This is the Best Machine Kenmore has made to date." The price is fantastic also. I do alterations and it has everything I need. I also do quilting and again it has everything. I even taught my 8 year old Granddaughter how to sew on it. I gave her my old Kenmore but she would rather use mine....

I just got my new Kenmore Computerized Drop-In Bobbin sewing machine and it is terrific.  I found it a breeze to set up and use and have been happily stitching my way through projects ever since, from curtains to lounge wear to jammies for my 2-year-old granddaughter.

I would be happy to recommend this machine to anyone and plan to do just that!

You should buy this one to begin with and your interest...

I researched this machine for 3 years before I was finally able to afford buying it. I have 0 sewing experience and always wanted to learn. For my first sewing machine I wanted to make sure I was investing in a good quality machine, that will last me a long time, and was versatile. I planned to sew many different projects so I wanted to make sure I got a machine that did well on ALL types of fabrics and was pretty simple to use. After reading all the positive reviews for this machine I finally purchased it at the beginning of this year.

This is a WONDERFUL machine; it comes with a large variety...

With kids I need a machine that is very multifunctional.  I have had this machine 2 weeks, and so far it has sewn through denim, linen, tafita, polar fleece, flannel, ribbon, and some very delicate fabrics.  So far it has worked like a dream something most machines can't do on all types of material.  I love the multi-speed and the decorative stitches are fun but would like a little more variety.  My biggest and pretty much only complaint is the manual it is very vague and the "every other page" a different language makes for a lot of flipping back and forth.  I would prefer something that...

I have been sewing for over 40 years.  Previously owned a Singer, now am very happy with my Kenmore 19233 model.  would like to be able to see in more detail what it is capable of doing. It states there are over 45 quilting stitch functions, but being new to the quilting world, I do not know which ones they are.  I'm going to try sew a few on sample fabric to see how they would look as quilting once I am ready to sew the three layers together.

I really like the versatility of this machine and think it is great for all levels of seamtresses!

I've had this machine for about 2 years & love it!  I use it to mostly to make baby blankets; sews through 2 layers of flannel easily; a little groaning when I come to seams with 4 layers of flannel but is able to power through them.  Decided to make bags last Chrismas instead of using wrapping paper for presents & people loved the idea.  Through these projects, have used various stitches.  I repleaced a basic Bernina with this; mother had Kenmore & used a friends Kenmore before considering this one.  Which I had just bougt this in the first place.

I love the fact that I don't HAVE to adjust...

Well-designed, easy to use!

I finally decided to learn to sew,so this is my first sewing machine ever. I did my research and consulted with my mother, who has years of sewing experience. The Kenmore computerized model 19233 seemed lightweight, simple, and sophisticated enough to grow with me. I love it! It is quiet yet powerful, and the instructions are thorough. My mom offered to help with the set up but it was so simple that within half an hour I was already sewing. And it comes with beautiful stitches which can be adjusted by just pushing a couple of buttons. My mom was so impressed that she returned her new sewing machine... read full review »

I asked my husband for a sewing machine for the holidays, it was on sale several years ago and I got it for around $350. As far as I knew at the time, it was manufactured by Janome which was why I bought it, and the box marketed it towards quilters, which is great for normal sewing because good quilting machine can sew through layers, and have some fancy stitches, all of which come in handy with sewing pretty much anything. It's a really wonderful machine. It took me a while to get good at threading it and now I consider myself a pro! The monograming on it is a fairly useless feature, atleast for...

Great Machine

I just bought this machine last night! I went home and played around with it and there is still more for me to learn! I am an avid sewer and just started to learn quilting. I am currently working on a practice quilt and found it very nice, runs smoothly and is very quiet. I did realize that I can not use my bobbins from my old Kenmore, they move around and make terrible stitches...so I will have to get some new ones. I have been using Kenmore forever and really like my old machine. My old Kenmore will be traveling with me up to our cabin and I can keep it up there for the summer! I truely would... read full review »

WOW!

I was curious about whether or not I'd like a computerized machine. I've sewn on mechanical machines for a long time, and mostly enjoy them. I'm really taken by how nice it is to have the machine set the stitch width and length automatically when you touch a button to select the stitch you want. I really don't *need* a lot of stitches, but isn't it fun to have so many to choose from. I went with this model over the 19110 because I wanted the built in alphabet. No reason that I needed to be able to write my name on something, but I wanted it. It is pretty cool, and it does a good job. I love,... read full review »

My second Kenmore sewing machine

I have only used the machine so far to hem my husband's pants, but it is easy to thread and sews very well from thin to thick fabrics. I got my first Kenmore sewing machine in 1972. I sewed many clothes for my three daughters and even a couple of outfits for my granddaughter. About a year ago, the tension wasn't working right and I thought rather than go to the expense to have it repaired, I would get a new machine. So far, I really like my new Kenmore.
