You get what you pay for !! buy cheap, get cheap. Put simply, I hate this machine. It was bought as a gift by my Mother in law so at least my own $$$ were not wasted that is the only bonus. Next week I am going to have to take it back to Sears for a service or repair (not sure which it will need) probably both but anyhoo....
Tension is awful, constantly having to fiddle with the knob, it's ok for a bit then have to have another fiddle with the knob, bobbin winder works great if you only like your bobin 2/3 full. The drop in bobbin method is fiddly, have to make sure it drops/winds down the groove!!! always had a bobbin case if this is the new improvement for threading bobbins I am so NOT impressed.
My biggest moan is that I have used it a total of 4 times and it's decided it doesn't want to work anymore period, not that it was 100% from the get goi must add. I am so frustrated with this machine you just wouldn't believe it, shame on me for letting it sit in the box for 12 months while I hung on for dear life to my old trusty machine, i'm guessing its way to late for an exchange or a refund ....LoL......
p.s i read reviews saying this is a quiet machine...huh ?!?
