“OK, but could be better.”
While I love the HE5 washer, the dryer leaves me a bit disappointed. It makes a thumping or clacking noise as the barrel rotates, like there was a baby shoe in it, regardless of the loads size or content.
But what bothers me most is that even with an average size load some of the clothes will still come out damp, usually around seams. Some materials seem prone to staying damp, especially cotton. I believe, because the heat being used is lower that what one would expect - So "low" would be "extra low", or even "extra, extra low". When I have to put a load of five or six jeans through two 40 minute cycles get them completely dry on "low", that irks me. My old Kenmore dried everything just fine on low in 45 minutes. So either learn to add time or increase the heat.
I do like is the feature that rotates the barrel every now and then, after the load is done, to keep the clothes from sitting and wrinkling.
The rack drying feature is nice; it channels air right through the rack itself. This much better than in my old dryer's rack feature that just blew air into the barrel in general.
