Huge Grill! You cannot get a better grill of this size for the money. Great features. I love the 12,000 BTU's Searzzle. It does a great job searing anything I put over it. I also have a cast iron smoker box that I put right on top of the Searzzle and use it as a smoker. Makes for some tasty eats!

Finally had to return grill

We'd been looking for a gas grill with 304 grade stainless steel. We were attracted by this Kenmore Elite 16678 gas grill becuase of its large grilling area, dedicated searing burner, rotisserie and $400 off promotion. We saw that the first reviewer said that it's a 304 grade grill and so we went to... read full review »

Kenmore Elite 1167 sq. in. Total Cooking Area... Reviews

Sears did not stand behind this product.  I got the runaround.  grates cracked, outside rusted, inside of cabinet doors rusted, burners rusted out.  A $1,600 piece of junk.  It is now a big paperweight on my patio because the cracks in the grates have rusted so aren't stainless (as advertised) and I'm afraid to serve my family food cooked on the grill.

I  saw the grill and the price ad been reduced. I needed a new grill and trusted the name. What a beautiful grill, but I am sorry to say that it is very disappointing to use.  I usually read reviews of things before I buy them, but this one I failed to do. I had this grill in my garage sitting for maybe 3 monts before I used it because I was using my old one.

The first time I used it, I had company over and I thought it took a long time to heat up. Anyways, after I got it heated up it really seemed to take a long time cooking, then the real problem started to show as the fire is very close to...

Waiting to see.....

Loved this on the showroom floor. Took 3 delivery attempts to get one that wasn't damaged (hood and sides scratched). Dealing with customer service is frustrating as there is no communication between outsourced delivery service or the actual store. The staff at the store are great and fixed the problem by swapping out parts on showroom model with my damaged one. Very pleasant. Grill grate develops black spots immediately that do not come off. Insides clean well but barriers also turned black right away. The rotisserie works great as does the steak searing section. Overall this works great for the... read full review »

5 stars

I rated this 5 stars as I believe their changing to 430 stainless is a good idea. 304 stainless is the industry standard stainless, but when used often in the 400-850 degree temp range (such as in this grill) it will tend to be corroded by water and the like more readily...and be more likely to stress crack. 430 like they switched to (Annealed or alternately the 430H variety) are perfect for a grill as they can stand the heat and cool cycles and tend to not stress crack or water corrode from the elements...exactly what you want from your outdoor grill I think. So whats up with the magnet folks,... read full review »

Awesome grill

We purchased this grill when our last CharBroil gill needed extensive repairs. While researching products, we found that this was one of the last grills made with high quality stainless steel (304). We have had the grill for 2 weeks and used it 6 times so far. The searing burner is great. At most, 10 minutes to a perfect medium to medium well steak. We have had some difficulty maintaining a low cooking temperature for indirect cooking over the main grilling surface. Be sure to have some ramps or several folks to load and unload this grill because of the weight. Will be trying the rotisserie this... read full review »

very unhappy

I am an avid griller and spent lots of time researching grills. This grill had great feature for the price. Unfortunately after 10 months of use it has turned out to be a terrible grill. 1. The infared burner is to far away from the cooking surface and does not sear the food very well. 2. The burner system is terrible. It has alot of hot spots and areas that hardly get any heat. 3. The lid has started to stain from the heat and has two places that have sunken in. The grill I had before was a $400 kenmore. I wish I still had it. It cooked 10 times better than this $1400 grill.

NICE GRILL

I purchesd this grill in July and have found it to be a superior grill from all my recent purchases. The last good grill I had that lasted over 20 years was a Sears grill made by Arka in 1979. They just don't make them like that anymore. The food coming off this grill just seems to taste so much better, whether I'm getting better as a cook or the grill is just soooo much better. The only problem I had was getting started. I could not get the grill to get hotter then 300 degrees with everything lit. The infar red for searing would not stay lit. I had a gas company guy adjust the regulator and everything... read full review »

4 stars

I have had the grill for two days, and I was slightly disapointed with it right out of the box. The first thing I noticed is it had blemishes on the grill lid, side shelf, and base. You would think that a top of the line Kemore Elite Grill WOULD have better Quality Inspections than this. The grill tends to be hotter on the left side.It assembled easily in about an hour.
