“Never Again”
Kenmore Elite 20.6 cu. ft. Upright Freezer —
I purchased one in April of this year, the quality is poor at best. Although it looks high tech it is a poor performer. Every 2 or 3 days it gets a frost buildup on the inside top of the door and the upper area of the cabinet in front of the interior light. I had the Sears service technician look at it this morning to see if the frost problem could be corrected, I was told that the frost buildup was a normal thing on this model, I showed him where a credit card could be inserted in several places where the seal is attached to the door and was told that was normal. I told him that I have had Sears freezers for 40 years and that none of them ever had a frost issue. He told me that the older models were manufactured by Whirlpool, and that the only company building Home freezers now is Frigidaire/Gibson, and their lack of quality is normal.
