This microwave is awesome!

This is our second Kenmore Microwave Oven. The first one lasted for 23 years! Microwaves have changed much over the years. This one has a built in turntable and is also a convection oven. You can do one, the other, or a combination of the two. The interior is all stainless and is a breeze to clean.... read full review »

I just bought this to replace an old microwave that wasn't to powerful I had at home. This one is the same, or has even less power than the one I planned to replace. I now will return it, can't see taking 2 minutes to heat up a cup of water which should normally take one minute. I plan to return it... read full review »

I bought Elite Microwave Oven Dec. 2010 Model721.79202010, this product budget wise is okay and the quality of the product is good. Food heating performance is very satisfactory and is safe to handle. I will highly recommend to friends and family this brand. The size and the height of the product is ideal for a regular size family need. So far the product works good since I bought this product, no problem at all.

It is well constructed and works great and will probably last a long time due to quality and durability and heats food up quickly.

Love, love, love it.  Needed a new microwave decided to get a larger one and it is perfect!

Works well, in some areas

the Microwave works great, it does have a noticeable click when the relay turns on and off the magnetron. Convection part does take a bit longer than a smaller convection toaster oven to get up to temp. also have to adjust +50 degrees hotter for some reason, if you set it for say 350 it takes about 30 minutes just to get to 300 where it stays there. and if you set it for 450 you get 400 deg. but other than that it works pretty good so far.

Pros & Cons

I love that it cooks faster while allowing foods to get brown and crisp where desired. The microwave is great! But using the convection oven, it takes as long to preheat as my much bigger range oven does. I don't think it's very well insulated, it gets quite warm on the outside. When I'm baking I can set a dish of butter on top and it'll be melted within a couple minutes. But overall, I like it very much, just not sure it's saving as much energy as I'd hoped.

GREAT CHOICE

This is a nice, big microwave that is also a convection oven. I have cooked a pork loin and chicken breasts using the convection feature and it does it beautifully. We have only had it a week, but so far so good. The keep warm feature will come in handy at Christmas to serve as overflow from the regular oven and warming drawer.

Excellent Convection / Microwave

I have used mine very heavily for at least two years, no problems. I love the way it bakes pizza in the combo microwave/convection feature. What sold me are the controls. You can add or subtract cooking time using a knob, even while cooking. The power is also adjustable with the knob, rather than having to type in numbers.

Very Good Microwave

We have used this model (all black) daily for 10 months without any problems. It is fast and easy to operate, the screen promts are very helpful. We bought the 3 year service plan because of some of the other reviews but I don't think we will need it. The manual was not very helpful in how to cook specific items, however experience has helped. Eg a frozen pot pie that takes 60-65 minutes in the oven can be cooked in this microwave (with top browned) using the combination settings in 18-20 minutes.

Bad Product, Bad Service

This stainless steel trimmed combination unit looks great until you start to heat it then it rattles the china. It was obviously defective, so I took it back for a replacementnone in stock (or anywhere else apparently). Decided to go with the plain black model, but the sales associate was not empowered enough to honor the one-day 10-percent off coupon that I used to buy the stainless steel unit. I left the store very frustrated because the lesser model would have cost more than this model! No more Sears for me!

Good, but could be better.

I bought this oven so I could have two ovens. I already have a convection oven, and I wanted something for those times when I need two ovens at once, or for when I don't want to heat up the big oven and the house... This oven looks great, and gets appreciative comments. The stainless interior really gets oohs and ahhs as well, though I wish it had a more conventional self cleaning interior. Thee main things I use the convection side for are warming bread and reheating food, as well as baking pies and cookies. It does a great job on all of the above. The cookies and pies come out as well as in... read full review »

Don't purchase

Had it two weeks and the glass in door cracked while using convection. The oven got exrtremely hot with no fans to ventilate it. Got it back after two weeks and used the convection again and it got so hot my husband was afraid it would catch on fire. Last microwave/convection oven we had had fans running during cooking and after cooking to cool unit down. Buy something else!

WORTH THE EXTRA COST

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS MICROWAVE. I AM A TRUCK DRIVER AND WORK LONG HOURS. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO WAIT FOR 2 HOURS OR MORE TO COOK MY DINNER. I LOVE THE WAY THE CONVECTION SIDE COOKS AND THE SENSOR COOKING AND REHEATING IS GREAT. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT AT ALL AND HAVE USED IT EVERY DAY SINCE I BOUGHT IT. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE 'ACTUAL' DIMENSIONS (INCLUDING THE PART THAT STICKS OUT IN THE BACK) THE DIMENSIONS ON THE BOX ARE INCORRECT. I HAD TO REDO THE SHELF THAT IT SITS ON BECAUSE IT WASN'T DEEP ENOUGH, BUT ONCE THAT WAS DONE, IT HAS BEEN GREAT. THE ONLY THING THAT THEY COULD HAVE... read full review »

Love this Microwave Convection Oven

My husband and I purchased our Microwave Convection oven 6 months ago and use it daily for various items we would normally cook in a traditional oven. It is convenient, easy to clean and we both love the taste of the food, especially baked chicken. I feel this oven is a must have in a well equipped kitchen if you enjoy cooking like we do.
