If you are looking for a counter top model I would choose a smaller one (less than 1.5 Cu. Ft. This model is suitable for a shelf or as a built in except that there is no stainless steel trim kit available that fits the dimensions of this microwave.  You will need to go custom or use a trim kit from...

To start with, for the price Sears charges for this microwave and also being a Kenmore brand, I was expecting this microwave to last for many years and to give me an outstanding service...well none of the above. It never cooked nor heated food evenly.

Despite the huge dish they install in this microwave, this...

Love It!

I love my microwave/convection oven!  It has a warm/hold function, so it also acts as a warming tray.  I am very happy.  I have a Kenmore Elite 27" single built in convection oven, and the microwave above it with a 27" trim kit.  They look great together, function great, and use less space.  I feel like I have a double oven, warming tray, and microwave in 2 units! :)

It has a convection/micro combo to cook and brown meats fast, but I haven't tried this function yet.

I have only found 2 things I don't like.  You can't turn off the turntable, so I can't cook in 13" X 9" pans.  Also, the...

The oven itself is fine. The trim kit we got to use as a built-in microwave looks like it is a part from Kenmore when you look at the price tag in the store. In reality it is custom manufactured by someone else. The color of the stainless steel is slightly whiter so it is not a perfect match.

Great second 'oven'

We used this in a finished basement with a sink and fridge to create a "kitchenette" for downstairs use. Since there wouldn't be an over, we used this to serve double duty. Over Christmas we used it as a second oven as we were cooking for 18. In fact, we've used it more as an oven than a microwave.

There IS a trim kit for this model. It's not listed online, but I went into the store and they were able to order one for me.

You can't quite get a 9x13 pan in it, but you can get a 9x11 pan, or a 13 inch pizza stone. Cookies, brownies, and casseroles all turned out great. We've done an occasional...

I love the stainless steel! It doesn't get dirty easy and looks nice in the kitchen.

To be honest, I don't use the convention oven very much but the few times I used it, it came out perfect. I baked a simple pound cake in it and it came out moist and soft.

The main reason I bought this appliance was for the microwave and I love it. It is simple, easy to use and there are no complicated buttons that might confuse someone.

The microwave is powerful so it works faster and does not ruin food like microwaves I've had in the past.

It warms up real fast, wow!!

my microwave died two months ago and I decided to buy this one although I was a bit suspicious about how it would work out for me.

I am in shock.  It is so dependable.  It does not take long to warm up my food and it is very quiete.  I am glad I bought it.

Love It

I bought this microwave a month ago and have used it to bake a cake and to roast a chicken. The cake was moist and the roast chicken was great. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a microwave oven. Who needs a stove with an appliance like this.

Microwave convection Purchased January 24,2012. New unit used the first evening on convection bake for a pizza worked great. The next day went to heat a glass dish microwave warm up 6 minutes into the process the microwave smoked and caught fire. Going to take back to store today. Will give one more shot.

Not worth the money

This microwave/convection oven works fine while it works.  Ours started to act up after only owning it for a little over two years... then it started to act strange.  Finally, when it turned itself on whenever the door was open, we gave up on it.  After talking to an appliance specialist who told us this kind of trouble would cost more to fix than it was worth, we decided to junk it.

Moral of the story - don't buy it without a service contract.

Great buy

This is a great unit- have use it to death since purchase- both convection and microwave and combo and am very pleased. Only issue is being able to adjust legs so that the unit will not wobble.  Easy to use- like having a double oven and you can not beat the price for this type of function.
