Smudges & Finger Prints

The frig is a beautiful work of engineering. I too am a little baffled by the hinged shelf (?) in the door unit. The only complaint that I have is the black front surface. The salesman told us that we could touch it all we wanted and that no finger prints or smudges would show. (He also didn't have one to show us on the floor, only stainless.) He was totally wrong. They (finger prints) not only show, we're constantly trying to get rid of them. A very difficult act. We're on our 2nd frig, going toward our third. The first 2 were scratched badly and the smudges couldn't be cleaned. I'm giving Sears one more chance to make it good before we return it and start over with a different model. It's a shame that we're having so many problems with the exterior. We really like the refrigerator.
