Kenmore Elite 23.1 cu. ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator with PuR Ultimate II Water Filtration — 

After much online and in-store research, my husband and I decided that this was the best model for our newly remodeled kitchen. The ice maker is loud when it starts up, but it doesn't run too long. The ice maker noise wasn't too much of a concern so long as everything else works well. Here we are, less than 2 months after accepting delivery of this refrigerator and it is broken. The refrigerator/freezer control panel turned itself off one day and will no longer come back on. As a result, our refrigerator has power but no longer cools anything. Sure, we can still get water out of the dispenser, but all of our food has spoiled. Fun times! My recommendation...don't buy this refrigerator. It gets better, Sears told us they won't even be able to send a repairman out to look at our unit for 8 days. I'm giving this unit one star because it looks nice.
