I LOVE this microwave :) This has been an awesome unit; however, be sure to read the manual with the cooking guide included; this will help you navigate the Sensor Cooking Buttons. I tried the "popcorn" sensing button, but wasn't sure I selected all of the right options; just as the popcorn started to pop, the microwave oven stopped cooking, but THAT is the only complication that we have experienced and that seemed to only be operator error :P Love the simplicity of the door, the buttons, easy to access, easy to clean...wonderful micro-oven :)
I purchased this microwave about 14 months ago and it just stopped heating. There is only a 1 year warranty on this microwave so we are not covered. I would not buy another Kenmore appliance after this. Most microwaves last for years & go out of style before they break down. No wonder Sears only has a 1 year warranty & then they want to try & sell you a protection plan to go with it. If you decide to purchase a Kenmore I suggest you get the protection plan because it is bound to break down shortly after the warranty runs out. VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!!!!
This microwave is easy to use and is a great size for a family of 4 that microwaves everything. One of its' best features is that it is especially easy to clean. I loved using mine for the last 15 months so much that I bought one for my daughter and her family of four. She likes the popcorn feature!
We were used to opening our old microwave with a push button and had to get used to opening this one with it's handle. It has a nice design that fits well into our kitchen.
One negative - During the first month of use a glass pan handle got "stuck" onto the "plastic?" cover while rotating...

Overview The people on here complaining about this oven must have gotten a "lemon" or something cause we absolutely love this oven. What sold us on this oven was the color and size. We needed the correct size microwave oven to fit into the microwave nook that is just above our regular built oven. We also wanted one that was white, considering our kitchen has white themed appliances throughout. It was suprisingly difficult to find a white microwave oven due to the stainless steel look craze goin' on right now. Frankly I think those stainless steel appliances...
I've only had this microwave one week now. But so far, it's good. The best feature is its quietness. Having had microwave ovens before, the noise of it was my main concern with a new one. The door on this is quieter because it has a push-pull opener rather than a button. I can be gentle and quiet with it. Also, the motor sound is lower than most, and the lower decibel is nicer on the ears. Finally, the beeps at the end are also lower in sound and therefore more pleasant. But the best part of the beeps is that they end. Two short beeps and one long, and that's all! Ah, peace! I've read some of the...
read full review »We've had this microwave for about 2 weeks now and everything works great. It replaced a similar Kenmore that lasted 7 years, but that's with a lot of use. The sensor functions are great and it also does a great job of defrosting.
when i finally bought that microwave that my wife needed i was surprised on how the employees treated me and my family they were so friendly that my whole family felt like we were at home the lady was so nice that i even thanked her and gave her a tip next time i need anything like clothing for me and my family or electronics ill remember about sears and how they treat me and my family just the right way yes i'm so going to recommend sears to all my friends and how their always going to ask you if you need help on any thing now its been a week and i am happy with my purchase
If i was to take a guess this thing was probably built by five year old kids in an old rusty factory in China somewhere. I bought this peace of junk in June 29 2008 and it just died on me Nov 26 2009. Thanksgiving without a microwave, great. You think Sears would not let there brand be put on such a poor machine. I guess they probably saved 12 cents by not having any quality control. Wish me luck finding another microwave.
This is going to be a very simple review. We love our Microwave! it has room enough for anything we want to nuke up and is easily the best microwave we have ever owned.
We purchased this microwave approximately 2 months ago and it does everything we need it to do and some we haven't even had to use yet! The curved corners makes cleaning SUPER easy! And all the pre-programmed buttons for things like defrosting, heating up canned veggies and heating a frozen dinner makes life so much easier! It's very easily the best microwave I've ever purchased!
We bought this microwave for the value and options. After 10 months or so the quick buttons (popcorn, fresh veggies, etc.) stop working properly. Since it was still under warranty we had a repair person come out to fix it. Rather than Sears replacing this $160 microwave they spend over $400 for parts. About two months after service and about four weeks after the warranty ran out it ******* out again. It heats great but the quick buttons don't work. could have purchase a bare bones for much less $$.
Bought this October 2006 had 4 major repairs in first-year. They never did fix the loud noise when it was operating. Now it's October 2009 any unit has a mind of its own just comes on runs. The average bill for the four previous fixes was around $225 so up until today I spent almost $750 on this piece of junk. Today's problem I'm sure is a touchpad and I will bet this'll be more than 225 which will make their cost $1000 or more. Fortunately I had a three-year warranty.
