The kenmoer Elite is by far the nicest freezer we have ever owned. The dividers that come with the freezer are a teriffic idea as well as the up front temperature display and the battery backup alarm for power outages. I would recommend this freezer to anyone with a large family or anyone who freezes large quantities....

I absolutely love my new freezer! The three baskets on the top & heavy duty separaters in the bottom are great for keeping everything organized. I'm looking forward to saving money on my electric bill too!...

Had it about one year and working just fine. The alarm system is not something I wanted but it came with it. Good price and well packaged.

So far I like the chest freezer. It's certainly big enough. The delivery men were exceptional. They were quick and throrough and friendly. I would highly recommend this freezer through Sears. However, I have one tiny problem. The freezer's feature that requires the use of a 9-volt battery in case of a power outage is very clever. Unfortunately, neither the product description nor the delivery men warned me of the necessity of such a battery. Therefore, when the delivery men came to install the freezer, I did not have the battery I needed. And due to the freezer's tight quarters in my house, I am unable to access the battery housing to install the required battery. Now my freezer beeps every 12 hours because that battery is not yet installed. What I will have to do is completely empty my freezer, have a friend come over to help me move the freezer into a more accessible space so I can insert the battery, and then move the freezer back into position and put everything back in. I would request...

Very good overall freezer!! Very spacious and great for organizing your frozen foods. Not used it but a week but all is great so far. Like that it has an alarm in case temperature rises above safe storage temperature. The interior light is also a plus!!

We purchased the 24.9 cu ft model less than 3 years ago. It stopped working recently. Had their service guy come out and said it was the circuit board and other electronic devices. $540.00 to repair a product we only paid a $100.00 more for. I am completely dissatisfied with this product and not what i would consider a high quality Sears product. I wouldn't recomend purchasing this item.

I am pleased with the kenmore product as I know that the elite quality will serve me well. I do not like that the baskets have been change to plastic. Careful! Get your rewards points.

I love this freezer. I operate a daycare and it is great to have the food available anytime when I am ready to cook. I sell Alison's Pantry Products as well and once a month I pack this freezer to the tightest fit possible. I do not run out of room unless we have an unusually high amout of frozen goods ordered. Just last night I stuffed about $600 in food in the freezer! The divider system across the bottom make great compartments so I can place different products in each area. 1 for bread, 1 for chicken, etc. The quick freeze feature is nice when I have fresh bread that we cook once a month go into the freezer. The best thing about it is that it has hardly changed my electric bill. The first month we switched from a 7.0 to this 24.9 cu ft freezer, my bill was the SAME. 3X more space to cool for the same price. Thank you ENERY STAR!!!

I have had my freezer for about 15 years now, and it is still going strong. If I every had to replace I would buy another Kenmore 24.9 chest freezer. We have are own beef and put about 800 lbs. of meat in it every year, along with 3 deer, and around 200 lbs. of fish, and around 75lbs. of Hatch peppers. Never had a problem. Can't go wrong with this item.

We have a very large household and need to buy plenty of bulk items. We were looking for a freezer that had plenty of room! This freezer keeps things very frozen and has the space to store all of our frozen food! We have had this freezer for over 4 years now and it still works like brand new!We are very happy with our purchase!

As an owner of a small restaurant I was looking for an extra freezer I could really 'load up".. This freezer does the job.. I have owned it for about 2 years now and have had no problems at all.. You would be amazed at all the items you can store in this... The baskets are soo handy too. It is easy to clean and I love the alarm that lets me know if the lid is not closed all the way... Actually I am getting ready to purchase another freezer and will buy this same freezer again.. And I got free shipping with a rebate form.. WOOHOO..

Hi Folds,

Bought one just like this in March 2006, the Sears Kenmore Elite Chest Freezer. I bought the "Sears Best" becuase it has the alarm with a battery back up which sounded like areat idea, plus it is their best...right? Today I had the Sears repair man out because of an annoying beep every 5 seconds and a flashing CE, which means communication error. The repair tech said I would have to replace two electronic boards, a wiring harness and the door. All for around $800.00. I have decided to pass since I had already spent $300.00 on the freezer about 2 years ago (electronic board...big surprise). I have to say I am very disappointed and will probably not buy another Kenmore appliance again, much less recommend this to anyone. FYI, the Sears tech guy told me it was made by Friigidaire for Kenmore.

If you are looking for a really large freezer for home, this is a good one. I have a large family and found that the fridge freezer wasn't cutting it. So, i purchased this and am extremely satisfied! I have this full to capacity and love it!! The only complaint that i have is that the key for the lock is cheap plastic. Other than that is is easy to store thing's effortlessly. It is one of those purchases that i do not regret. I would even suggest this for light commercial use....

Biggest available through retail stores period. Great $/ft ratio. I leave it set at 5 degrees instead of 0 and it still keeps things more frozen than my upright fridge/freezer. Works perfectly. Have owned other uprights and chest freezers and this is best....
