Have owned our Model 2213192K902 (1319) for 3 weeks (only).
We are very pleased so far. We had an old Jenn Air (supposedly top of the line) which was much noisier, much smaller, and didn't clean nearly as well.
Before buying, I extensively compared the competition (in recent 2010 **************** and other sources). This dishwasher won in my mind, because it had the lowest price for the quietest excellent cleaning performance. But note, this specific model (1319) did not appear in CR. The Kenmore 1312, 1317, and other similar models did. CR can't test every model in the world, so you...
read full review »We bought this dishwasher just last month and replaced the old Kenmore from 1950's my mom had, which was not working and whenever we turned it on the water would start filling up and make a mess...anyhow, this new Frigidaire is perfect, less water usage and quieter even tells you when the dishes are done!!
This Dishwasher is by far the best I have ever owned. I replaced a 12 year old Kenmore because it was beginning to show some wear and tear in the baskets and was quite noisy. This new Kenmore Elite Dishwasher is practically silent. Unless I have my ear up to the door, I can't even tell it is on. I love the stainless steel interior and the fold down tines on the upper rack. I can also adjust the upper rack up and down very easily to accommodate different size dishes. The lower basket is quite large and has a perfect place for casserole dishes to use with the Turbo Zone that practically cleans anything....
read full review »This Kenmore Elite 19193 dishwasher was kind of expensive (about $1,200) for a dishwasher, but we are glad we bought it. My wife's primary concern was that we needed a quiet machine, as the 1997 Kenmore Ultra Wash III it replaced was anything but quiet.
This machine IS QUIET! You can barely hear it run standing right next to it except when it is emptying and you hear a little gurgling sound from the sink drain. The machine cleans dishes very well. It came with 2 sample Cascade Action Pacs and some Jet Dry. We had been using the Action Pacs previously, and found that they are the best product...
read full review »We've been Kenmore appliance loyalists since we bought our house 21 years ago. We recently updated our home and bought 3 appliances at the Sears store in Pickering, Ontario (suburb of Toronto) - a new stove (brand=Fridgidaire, new dryer (brand = Maytag) and new built-in dishwasher (brand = Kenmore).
Our experience with the new dishwasher, which replaced a 17 year old Kenmore portable dishwasher that still runs well, means we'll never buy a Kenmore brand again.
When my wife shopped for the dishwasher she did lots of online research and we talked to the Sears sales representative a number of times....
read full review »Pros - quiet, extremely quiet
Cons - so-so cleaning. On average we have to wash 1-2 items by hand after each load. Unacceptable in my book for a $1,000+ dishwasher. Our previous dishwash (an Asko) did a MUCH better job. We might have to hand wash something maybe once every 3-4 loads. The Turbo Wash is WORTHLESS, repeat, WORTHLESS. We've run it 3-4 times and EVERY time we've had to wash the items by hand when it was finished. We don't use it anymore.
We thought that since the machine was made by Kitchen Aid it would be OK, but it's not.
I'd definitely consider a different dishwasher...
