Kenmore Elite 24" Double Drawer Dishwasher with Sliding & Variable Position Tines (1334) Reviews

I have had this dishwasher for 3 years, it has had a problem with leaking for at least 2 of them.  Sears repair people have been here at least 6 times and it still leaks.  Does not clean the dishes very well either.  It does look good and that is all it has going for it.  I bought it for the name thinking a Kenmore Ellite would be a very good product.  I have been very disappointed with this product. 

 I bought this dishwasher even after reading all the reviews and I must say I love it. This is a dishwasher the average Joe should not install. I am a licensed Plummer and have installed many, many dishwashers and by far this was the hardest to install. It needs to be very level and secure. This could be the cause of some customer's leaks. If it is done correctly you will not have any problems. If your installer is done in under and hour it is not done right. I do not know how it is possible for this dishwasher to break your glasses as the cleaning spray bar is under the rack I have had nothing...

This dishwasher is not worth it because parts break and end up leaking all over your floor.  Also, our dishwasher is less than two years old, and a repair person has come out about 7 times.  You also must clean the dishwasher by removing the rack, taking off the plastic blade, undoing a bunch of screws, and the sticking your hand in there and pulling out old food.  If you do nott, your glasses come out foggy and need to change filters.  It might be sleek, but it's not sweet.

We purchased this model about 2 years ago and have been very dissatisfied with it since. We liked the two drawer idea but it does not work. We had to go out and purchase new everyday dishes because the old ones were too large. By the way too large means the standard size. It does not clean the dishes period. unless we really rinse off the dishes it will not take off a lot of stains. We end up rewashing dishes more often then not.

We have had this DW for almost 2 years.  It has not broken or had leaks, however, we dislike it enough that it will be replaced. Bottom line it doesn't clean well, dishes must be cleaned/rinsed before being placed in the DW. I have had other DWs that you can place dirty dishes in and they come out clean... but not this one. Other gripes are: the drawer needs to be propped open when loading (Your hip will do), a larger cutting board will not fit unless it's the only item, a serving platter won't fit unless it's the only item, a cookie sheet don't fit unless it's the only ... you get the...

I have the 1-drawer version of this dishwasher, with just the upper drawer. I have no idea why people are complaining so much about it. Nothing has broken, nothing leaks, and (contrary to what other customers have said), a full-size plate DOES fit into it. Actually, eight fit in, with plenty of room for other stuff. With two people in the house, I run it pretty much every night, or at least every other night, which is fine with me. I'm going to bed anyway, so who cares if it takes a long time? The combination of the Quick Wash and Sanitize features lets me sterilize my canning jars before use....

I just love, love, love this dishwasher!  It holds much more than a traditional dishwasher, even those large pots and pans and big platters that would never fit before.  It has the flexiblility of using just one or both drawers allowing for absolute separation of things like stainless steel and silverware in the 'same' load. I wouldn't trade it for anything.....EXCEPT that it has one flaw: the plastic vent cover has been well documented as breaking easily and causing floods.  I know this first hand after discovering a large flood that damaged the kitchen floor and the ceiling in the room below. ...

This is by far the worst dishwasher I have ever owned.  It doesn't clean as well as the name implies that it will...  ELITE?  I think not.  You have to run the hot water until the hot water reaches the washer...  A complete waste of water.  If you skip this step the diswasher absolutely will not clean.  There is no heating element in this washer.  Dishes are dried by a fan hense the long running times of the dishwasher.

If you do purchase this washer after reading these reviews, then by all means purchase the extended warranty as well... you are going to need it.

Purchased this dishwasher for my new house because we had recently become empty nesters and I thought it would be perfect for us.  While I can fit all of our dishes into the dishwasher, I feel like I have to prewash them by hand because they do not get clean at all.  I also have to towel dry them once the dishwasher is finished.  What a waste of money!  I might as well not even have a dishwasher.  I think the concept is great, but this is not a good dishwasher at all.

This dishwasher was a great concept. Unfortunately that's were it stopped! The dishwasher does not hold very many dishes. The dishes it does hold, do not get very clean. If you try to fill it, you will find that your glasses will get broken. It doesnt hold normal size dishes well. As soon as the warranty runs out so does the reliability. I am still trying to figure out why they called it ELITE. I replaced all of our appliances with the ELITE models, BIG mistake. I Highly DO NOT recommend this product line. Absolutely hate it! For Sale Cheep.

We moved into the house brand new set there.  I absolutely hate them.  I am ordering a fridgedare one which I had at my old house and it did a perfect job.

Don't buy.  Also very very noisey.  Oh and the dishwashers both on the same cycle and start at the same time on stops a long time before the other.

I  have had this dishwasher for almost 2 years it breaks about every 2 months. I am on a first name with the repair man who comes out. The vent covers in it are always coming loose and dumping water all over the kitchen floor. The motor on the bottom drawer just stops working sometimes. I just would have to say I will never buy one like this again and for the money that  this dish washer costs it should not have these problems.

This dishwasher floods my kitchen every few days, does not clean the dishes nor dry them. Normal size dishes will not fit. The warranty is afwul. Parts break over and over and noone seems to care.....they will fix any damager it does to my house but not fix the dishwasher. I feel like I am dealing with stupidty. Do not purchase!!!!
