I have really enjoyed my Kenmore Elite dishwasher. Never had any problems in the four months I have owned it.

First service call immediately after installation but before countertop was applied. Drawer tipped forward when fully extended. Instructions did not address how to resolve so we had the "technician" out. Wasn't familiar with product but agreed with our method of resolution. It had not leaked during a quick test at which time we cancelled and drained to check for leaks. Tried to run first load--water everywhere ! Cancelled, drained and called Sears again. 2nd technician identified a loose spray bar, tightened & it's working like a charm since. Grateful we purchased extended warranty; doesn't appear we'll need it any time soon. Use dishwasher for 11" dinner plates as well as pots & pans; it's extremely quiet and everything comes out squeaky clean....

This dishwasher was perfect for our situation. We had a need for improved functionality. My husband is a wheelchair user and couldn't help with dishes because he would practically tip out of his chair trying to load a regular dishwasher. I would have to always finish loading, etc. I've listed my main reasons for loving it and my one and only compliant... 1. Easy loading for handicap person and barely need to bend at the waist if you are a standing person. 2. Ultra quiet - our TV is only 8' away and we can watch TV with it on and not be bothered. 3. We have VERY hard water. Dishwasher that came with home when we bought it left awful streaks and spots that I rewashed everything. I can code in the degree of rinse aid, temp., etc to solve this problem. Dishes, crystal, come out GREAT! 3. As a couple in our 50's, kids grown and gone, this SIZE is perfect for us. I can run the washer every day or two. Before it took me 4-7 days to get a complete load in a standard size washer. 4. I monitor our......

OK- my husband desperately wanted this dishwasher for its fun gadgetyness. Now that it is home, I HATE it. I get mad every time I load the thing. I love how the pictures have all the dishes neatly piled in there - if we do that, they all come out with food crusted on them unless we already washed them completely before we loaded them. Our large plates (10.25 in) just barely fit in the drawer and there is no room for anything other than your run of the mill dishes - pretty much no large bowls, frying pans, baking trays etc. fit unless you're putting almost nothing else in. I am very good with visual spatial ability and can pack my entire house into a small sedan, yet I can not figure out where is the best place to put things in this dishwasher. I have ended up having to hand wash WAY more stuff than I ever had to with any other dishwasher. Basically, I really wish we had the 30 year old dishwasher that came with the house back. grrrr!...

The quick wash feature for lightly soiled dishes is great. This thing had my dishes washed and dried in no time and was sooo quiet! I couldn't be happier!...
