We have only owned this unit for a few weeks and I would prefer doing this review after a longer time period but so far, I only have one item I don't like which is the area for ice and water is too small.   I would prefer to be able to get a large  (16 oz.) mug type container in the dispenser but an average size glass or cup is all that fits.  I did know this at the time of purchase but made the decision to purchase it anyway since it was on clearance and the price was great.   This model has many features I love so they outweigh the one thing I don't like.

We had a hard time finding a Fridge to fit our built-in space, and I had my heart set on a French door.  I am very pleased with the Kenmore..appearance is very nice and I love the ice & water in the door without the huge apparatus our old side-by-side refrigerator had (it took up half the freezer space)  All the freezer room is great, and I really like the slide-out storage drawer with room for extra ice, however we haven't needed it yet...the ice is always ready when we need it...All in all it was a great purchase.  Oh, and a great value, esp. for the price!

I purchased this refrigerator (I'm sure it's been upgraded since my purchase) July 2006 and we truly enjoyed our new appliance.  In February 2009 I responded to a recall letter from Kenmore stating that our refrigerator did not meet the Energy Star standards as stated on the appliance.  Since that time I have had our refrigerator repaired 6 times, over a period of 1.5 years and it is still not right.  The vegetable/produce drawers freeze the contents, which is very costly.  I did agree have our appliance upgraded/repaired and now we will receive a yearly check from Kenmore/LG for the extra...

This was a very bad purchase for me.  The motor in the freezer unit turns into a ball of ice every 6 months.  I had the service guy out who told me that it is typical for these units to do this.  He was nice and showed me how to defrost it so I don't have to pay for 2 service calls a year at $120 a pop.

Also, Ice maker is very slow even in quick mode. 

The quality is very poor and I will never buy Kenmore Elite again.,

We purchased our Kenmore Elite 25.0 cu.ft. TRIO Ice & Water Dispensing Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator in September of 2008 (14 months ago) and have found the unit attractive but have lost confidence in it as a long term investment.  Several things have proved very annoying such as the ice maker that jams every 4 or 5 times it is used. After an ice jam we have to open the ice maker door on the inside of the left door and shift the cubes around to allow it to work again. Purchased this in end of 2008 and now after a year the bottom freezer drawer has stopped functioning. It leaves about a half inch gap on the left side when closed and the snow covers up everything and it jams. Not under warranty anymore and I originally paid over 3200 dollars for this (it was the most expensive one they had in store at that time). I did not knwo that the quality of this fridge is so bad that I am going to have to pay extra to get it fixed. A tech is coming out tomorrow to take a look at this. Like others, I love the fridge in terms of how it is laid out, the size, the storage, great design -- and unlike some others I had no issues with the size of the water/ice disperser -- plenty big for our glasses, worked well.  What I have had problems with is the ice maker.  Took calls to 4 folks to get warranty repair trip approved, repairman came out, and just forced the blocked ice out and had no idea why it did that - the equipment checked out fine, so no replaced parts or adjustments.  Just cleaned it out.  Since then, the ice maker has jammed up 2 more times, both times had to empty the...

I purchased this refrigerator in December 2008 and it has been nothing but trouble.  The icemaker constantly gets jammed causing you to have to open the icemaker door and bang on the icecube storage container.  Most cups and glasses do not fit in the opening so when you fill your glass with water it leaks down the front of the refrigerator.  The vegetable/fruit bins freeze constantly no matter what setting you have them on causing constant food waste.  Items do not fit on the doors well due to lack of depth and it you have anything tall you have to lay them down inside the fridge.  The only...

I purchased this product after hard shopping and chose it despite prior brand loyalty to GE.  And I've owned a Sub Zero fridge/freezer.  I unfortunately would not make the purchase again and would not recommend that someone considering a new refrigerator purchase this model.

The positives:

   -Overall refrigerator design (french doors with bottom mount freezer) is great.

   -Price is reasonable

   -Faux stainless is attractive and can hold magnets, which was important for us

The negative:

   -The tilting freezer door design is defective.  Or the suction of the freezer design is defective. ...

We love the fridge.  My only comment is that the buttons don't light up.  Of an evening we must turn on the overhead lights to see which button it is we need to push.

My number 1 problem with this fridge is you can't even fit a normal size glass in the water/ice dispenser, it's a horrible waste!!! Replace your filter much? Probably not look at the price of them! I have been a loyal Kenmore customer for all my appliances not anymore!

We bought this to replace a high end GE frige that was just over six years old.  We started having problems with it just after two years.  We have had this fridge just over six months and are pleased with it so far.  I wanted to have it a few months before writing a review.  The control panel is dark and hard to read, but that is really the only con we've experienced with it.  I am not so pleased with Sears' customer service when dealing with a replacement delivery of another applicance.  Due to the poor service I received; I have vowed to never spend another dollar with Sears, K-Mart or...

Our refrigerator/freezer died on us unexpectedly. We researched several refrigerator brands at several appliance stores.  We knew we wanted a bottom drawer freezer and we decided on the LG.  We are so happy we did! We have had this unit for 3 months now- without any complaints!!!  We are so happy with our purchase and cannt say one bad thing about it!!!
