i like this because it's something different. i think it was a great buy.
We've had a KENMORE Induction Cooktop for 22 years. It is like no other cooktop we have every used and we love it. Have never had any trouble with it.
Induction cooktop Stoves are the best thing I have ever used to cook like a gourmet pro in my kitchen. It saves me time, energy, heat and money on my electiric bills. I use my iCookware with this cooktop and it's a match made in cooking heaven. This cooktop is the most valuable tool I own. It's easy clean up since I can cook directly over a towel on the burner since it is induction it only heats up the steel of the cookware. This way I do not scratch my cooktop or my cookware and they both look as new as the day I purchased them. No more greasy drip pans in my kitchen.
It's been over 3 years now that I have had my 30" induction cooktop. I was remodeling my kitchen, had done some research on induction four burner cooktops but all I could find was super high end products that cost over $3,000. No big deal though. I brag about it to anyone who's considering new appliances. I feel bad for the...

But it sort-of popped a month ago--and showed error #35. $700 later it still isn't working and they are saying it needs an additional $365 part. If I were to buy an induction cooktop again, I would invest in the service contract. I hate service contracts! and never get them -- but this would be the one thing I would get it for. (Note- for the $700 a year this induction top has averaged-out costing me, I could have bought a new, decent electric cooktop and thrown it out evey year for a...
read full review »I purchased the Elite 30 Induction Cooktop November 2005. I bought it for a vacation home that we rarely use, yet alone cook in. The few times I used it was to impress friends boiling water. On a recent inspection I discovered the cook top reading a "2" on all burners, an error code 80 and inoperable. Sears first sent a technician who stated that these cooktops required a special tech familiar with these products. Sears then sent a 2nd technician who stated that the main board had failed with a cost of under $400.00 to fix. I agreed to the repair, but was then shipped the wrong...
