Kenmore Elite 30" Slide-In Electric Range 4101 —
We bought our stove 11-1-09, the stove works well it takes some time to adjust to tapping the stove top many times to get the right temp. The first four times I cooked the food was blackened and hockey pucks. The top is very hard to clean and already looks funny, streaky which won't wipe off.
We opened a $20 box of meat last night to put in the stove, I tuned it on and it lit up went to 111 degrees and went off with an F-15 error. I called the techs they said an F-15 is a failed mother board. So on our first try, (witht the stove) which had a price tag of $1700.00, it went out. The food was ruined. After reading all the bad comments I think I am going to pass on this one, will save me lots of grief in the future. Looks like the electronics go bad easily and often. Too bad I liked the way it looked and got a good deal on it. Guess no deal is good if it doesn't work. Bummer.....
