Puchased our slide in induction range in March of 2009.....It is absolutely fantastic...EASY to clean the top to look like new. Made the mistake once of boiling a pot of speghetti with a plasticized price tag stuck to the bottom of the pot....would have been disasterous on a standard radiant stove...but due to this being an induction burner....it didn't melt!!!! Like I said absolutely fantastic. Boils water in small pan in less than 45 seconds. Faster than my microwave. Chili dogs ready for lunch in around 3 minutes. You need to pay attention when you are cooking because it is fast or can be depending on the . I love my new range.....I first saw induction back in 1980....finally purchased this in 2009...wish I had done this YEARs ago....Sears induction compatible cookware works great with this range and is very reasonable priced. I am so glad that I chose this over gas, which was what I thinking about purchasing. It is so nice to shut the burner off and have the liquid stop boiling....best of both worlds with this range....I love it!!!! My husband installed it using the instructions that accompanied the range. This slide it looks great. Just be sure to lock the controls when you are cleaning the control panel.
