If the hood is vented up though the roof as the man from Longwood said, downdraft can occur from outside down through the vent thereby preventing the hood from removing food smells from the house. Venting to the side of the house or through an eave will prevent downdraft and should make the hood work... read full review »

I have had this unit for about six months. As a microwave oven, it is OK, but if you were expecting the range hood to be useful, you will be greatly disappointed.
