No this item has never broken down on me. It's lovely. It has always done down home cooking. Easy instructions, timers and chimers. It has a wonderful self-cleaning over that I turn on and just go and shuts off on its own. I've never had to ask for customer service and the manual was self explanatory. Wonderful kitchen item and I'm still getting my monies worth!

We bought a new old home earlier this year with a scary old stove that was just awful. We cook a lot and began hunting for a new gas stove immediately (all gas, not dual fuel) to fit the existing 36" space. Either you go all out for a $4000-plus stove or it's cheap junk. We even thought about buying a regular 30" range and making cabinet fillers. But we found this Kemore Elite stove and it is a great option. Great looking, heavy duty grates, easy rangetop to clean, and cooks well. We wish the oven was larger and the lower drawer squeaks when you pull it out to access pans (we just lubricate it with a little beeswax every now and again), but it works very well and we use it all the time. It's nice to have a power burner for getting things boiled or steamed quickly; we also like the simmer burner. Excellent product for the price tag. Sears - suggestion: please put the bottom drawer on some nice glides - would be a low cost upgrade and really improve it.

I purchased a home and needed a 36 inch stove to fit in the space. The professional stoves were more than double the price. It's sturdy, looks great and I got a great sale on it. It also comes with a grill and griddle which is awesome. I've never had a gas stove before, I'll never go back to electric....

I bought this Gas range new in 2006, i do not used it a lot. since i have a basment kitchen. the Range has been repaired many times. and now it does not want to heat up and smells like gas again. I would of thought after paying $ 2,100 for a range it would last, but i guess i was wrong. For some reason in the last few years i have had bad luck with Kenmore/ Sears Products, don't know why. but i will not be buying anymore .

I purchased this stove and it did not fit in my 36" space b/c the side panels were not properly assembled. I exchanged it for a new one with the hope that it would fit in our space but again, we encountered the same problem. The stove looks nice but if it's not manufactured to the correct size, how are you supposed to connect it up and use it?

Love it! The Sears salesman was very helpful. They came on time like they said they would. The actual Range is great. I really like the extra space on the cook top over the typical 30" style. My only negative thing I can say is that when you clean the top it is difficult to get the crumbs, spills or what ever out of the corner areas. The top does clean off nicely but just in the corners food gets stuck. You almost need a vacuum if you are as anal as I am. But otherwise I love it!

Finally I have the perfect stove, after looking at a lot of stoves, I've cooked three meals using a lot of burners, the best price ever paid for a quality stove, easy to clean after cooking and a well done lasagnas made in its oven,exellent cooking power, I am a party person and this range is amazing to cook differents meal at once.. The knobs are large and easy to handle,I would recommend this to a friend This is a beautiful range and a fantastic purchase, I am an Italian food lover and all I want when I'm at home is cook in my great oven.....of course all my friends asked me about my stove......it is really nice to have it at home.......

I had high hopes for this attractive and seemingly well-built unit. However, a poorly-fitting door (among other design flaws) means that heat leaks, cooking the control knobs, and causing them - after just a year of use - to crack, break and flake. Now, after 2.5 years of use, all the knobs are totally flaking apart and cracked ... When I complained about this to Sears, they offered to sell me new knobs for $60+ each.

No thanks.

i only had it for 2 -1/2 years and im having problems with it for what i paid its the worst product i ever purchased.and the service i got on searshomeservices.com/chat was real bad ed wilson was telling me that the they could have a technician out to my house on jan 25 th,today is jan 11th, i have 3 kids what do i do.as im typing with ed my wife calls sears over the phone and they are coming out on monday jan 17th.i always taught buying things at sears was the way to go.im done with sears i will tell my friends and my family to stay away from sears there 2000.00 kenmore elite range lasted me only 2-1/2 yrs.oh now i have to pay $ 129.00 for service call + parts. i asked if i could call the manufacture to see if its a simple fix.he said no there is no number but sears. so sears kenmore products are only serviced by sears and there is no help over the pnone for tech support you have to pay for a sears tech to come to your house.i hope when the service tech comes over he doesnt rip me off......

Sucks hate to clean it, very hard to keep clean. When oven is on, I have 3 fans going in the kitchen? and the kitchen isn't even that big When burner is on, I have 2 fans going Puts out an enormous amount of heat so disappointed. Should have bought the cheap one for $1,000 less

I've owned this for about a month now. The various burners take some getting used to if you've always had just one kind to cook with, but once you get the hang of them, they can be very beneficial to your cooking. I really like the sealed cook top. It's easy to clean and I don't have to worry about food being left under the cook top. The oven heats up fairly quickly and the front of the oven stays relatively cool. I was concerned that the oven wouldn't be big enough because most 30" ovens have 5 cubit foot ovens and this is less than 4, but it seems to be big enough for our needs. There is no doubt that it is the best option if you want a fairly industrial looking 36" range, but don't want to blow your budget.

This stove purchase was researched and shopped for for many months and after much deliberation we finally decided to purchase from Sears. We went into the Sears Appliance store in Pearland Tx and found the stove we wanted and was told by the salesman that he could put us in this model with a 36 in width, but we would have to order online. We then went to the computer in the store and he ordered this model. I looked at the pictures too and thought I was asking all the right questions. It turns out we got a bigger heavier model than the one I thought I was ordering. I have agreed to keep and use this stove. I do not want to go through the return issue and replace with another but feel like we were misinformed by the salesman.I will never buy this way again and will request for the appliance to be brought to the store to view before purchase. I like Sears Appliances and know they are good hardy products.

Although I received my gas range defective, upon receiving the missing part 4 months later (yes, I had to repair the range myself as the service department doesn't realize that "service" is part of their name and would not come to look at my range unless it was either Tuesday or Thursday ), range performs great. The part which was missing was the leveling foot so I could not even install my anti tipping device: once intalled, my cakes and souffles are perfect! Sauces are a breeze with great temperature controls.

We searched for a 36" stove to replace the one we had for months and came across the Kenmore Elite at the Kmart near our home, the bonus was that it was on sale! We do love it the other thing I have never had before is a self cleaning oven, it works so easy and cleans the oven so well and then you just have to wipe it down.

We have had this range for a month and absolutely love it! It has the upscale stainless steel range look, without the price. Just be aware that the 2 side panels are textured black, not stainless. (The way the ranges are displayed at the store, you cannot see the 2 sides.) The power burner is fantastic and the oven preheat is super fast. I was worried about a glass cooktop, but it cleans up beautifully. Buy it on sale and save around $300.

This oven looks just like a VIKING and that's why I was drawn to it. I love to cook & I always get compliments on how beautiful my oven is. I love cooking with it because I can make so much at one time and it fits in the huge space that my old fifties oven took up. I makes the kitchen look amazing! It's the nicest thing in the kitchen and turned my old 50's kitchen into a more modern looking one as soon as we put it in. It heats up much faster than other ovens so I had to adjust my cooking time to less time which is awesome. I use the power burner all the time to heat up bubbling water quickly and love the simmer burner for my soups and sauces that I don't want to burn. The only thing is that the grates don't fit into my sink since i have a double basin and not one large one but I don't need to clean them that often (or don't want to). The cooktop is super easy to clean once the grates are off. The only complaint is that after 4 years of constant use, I now have to replace...
