First off, this is the mac daddy if you already own Kenmore Elite ovens or ranges. 3 fan speeds and 3 light settings are the best. That being said, there are some things to know. Do not buy the halogen lamps for the unit. The two attempts to use the recommended halogens resulted in blow outs of the lamps....

We've owned this hood for two years, and just ordered a replacement control panel because the plastic covering for the control buttons has already worn through. I don't find this acceptable. It's not like we run a restaurant here.

Item was easy to self-install.
Looks nice and efficient.
This hood looks great but functions better. Exhaust fan (3 speeds) are very quiet and have sufficient power to do the job without excessive noise. The two lights are in a perfect position to light the range below without glare. This was easy to install once the old hood was removed. This hood was a great value and purchased with the Elite Range, makes the kitchen a showplace.
This range hood is remarkable. It not only does what it is designed for well, with 3 fan settings, but the lighting is superior. With 3 light settings you can actually see what you're cooking or leave a very pleasant night light on for guests using the low light setting. To top it off it is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Relatively quiet, good air flow, like the 3-way lighting, decent looks. Got a good price on sale, delivered promptly (picked up at local store), straightforward DIY installation.
This hood works & looks great. We've received many compliments from our guests that the stainless steel hood looks great! I'm glad we went w/the hood as opposed to a microwave hood.
Very happy with this hood. Very cool looking and have received several compliments from guests. The "elite" sign really stands out. Bought blue halogen bulbs which make a very bright light, close to xenon made it more appealing. Fan speed and strength are very effective as well.
This is an attractive, substantial looking hood that performs well. The fan may be slightly loud but not to the extent of being annoying. I wouldn't take any marks off for that.
The problem is bulbs. They are not included with the hood. They have to be purchased separately. At this time Sears is charging $40 for the two bulbs required!! That is a rip -off. I purchased the EXACT SAME bulbs at the ********** for $7.49 each and Sears' installation crew found them a perfect match. The part number for Sears bulb is 57853 and it is prominently described ONLY as "50 watts 120volts". On...
