Best water softner I've used to date

After spending $1000+ on a water softener and installation in our old house and having to fill it up with salt so often I was less than excited to repeat that experience with our new house. I looked into the Sears model which is so much more inexpensive that I was a little leery. I talked my husband into installing it himself' which he did brilliantly. We have had it running for 2 1/2 months now and we probably won't have to fill it up with salt for another 2 1/2 months. I'm LOVING it. Way better than the other brands that offer to come to your home, sell you a much more expensive softener. and then put pressure on you to purchase their water filter as well...who needs that?
